Get a 40 gb or 80 gb "7200 rpm" and get one with 8mb cache. Those are faster. Then once you get it plug in any power cord thats near it in the case and plug in the second plug on the IDE cable of the first HD. Make sure the jumper is on slave. Yeah if you get enough people d/ling the map the server will jerk a little. Like when people lag they sit there and then teleport. Thats what happens except to everyone in game. I like the whole idea of turning off in-game d/l but then no one can use custom sprays. (good thing or not?)

Ok go into your shortcut to cs and put this in X:\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game cstrike The X:\Half-Life\hl.exe is where my hl.exe is you just put in the last part.

I have Audigy 2 plat and when I want to use my headphones i have to switch the config in the controls. You need to go to the control panel and then go to Sounds and audio. If you have creative labs and maybe some others there is a thing called speaker settings at the bottom. Click on advanced and make it headphones and then plug in your headphones to the 1 jack where the front main speakers plug into. Hope it works

Just got my Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers today. Boy do they sound awsome. My jaw droped like that.

Yeah In Madison,WI we have tri-weekly lans on Sat. and one guy there always has a folder for you to put stuff in. I think I'm going to do that next time I go.

Ok heres some more info that I left out. Same Comp Just different HD thats already formated on the comp. All I want to do basically is take out the 12 GB hd that has C on it and put it on the rest of the other HD thats 80 GB. /me wants to use the 12 GB to fiddle around with linux. *edit oh yeah and it's XP home

Question, would it work if I copy the C drive to another drive and make that C? It's my parents comp and I cant reinstall windows because some of the files i dont have installs for.

Well the problem is that i dont have good speakers yet. Ill be getting nice ones in a week or two for college. I tried out the vurtual suround sound and it was great on two speakers. But the whole pakage it self is awsome. I cant wait for the 4.1 system that I might get. Im thinking Creative labs 4.1 inspire or something along the creative labs line since the Audigy 2 plat is creative. I will post up once I try out nice speakers on it.

You could be running something in the background that you dont know of. Try turning off everything possible or go into safemode with networking(if you can play games in safemode i dont know) and see if it does the same thing.

I bought it on Newegg.com a year ago for 150$ .... 50$ less then when best buy had it. Great sound card just as long as you have good speakers to go with it or it's worthless.

I think it's some time in sept. Im not sure though. Anyways im not looking too forward to it since it's a waste of money. (Basically all it's for is single player) and besides that HL2 is coming Oct 30 hopefully.
