  1. The 2 effects of the Cold debuff makes it so you don't do as much damage in battle. The first stage of cold lowers your damage output by 20% and the second stage lowers it by 40% (they don't stack).
  2. I wish I knew how to make it so you retain points if you were to reconnect. Just don't know how to achieve that yet. I'll unban you.
  3. So by the time I got to the mansion dungeon, I was only level 4 and managed to beat it while avoiding about 50% of the enemies in the mansion at around level 7/6/6 or 6/6/6. I made it so if all party members are level 5 or higher, you will encounter enemies at half the rate in the Ice Cave dungeon to hopefully prevent you from getting way over leveled...or I could probably just make it so you stop encountering enemies, but that would defeat the purpose of the whole dungeon mechanic. I'm also thinking about getting rid of random battles and making every enemy encounter something you "bump" into. So far I fixed a lot of the bugs you two have encountered and posted about and moved the quiz rat some place where you can just BARELY see him poking out.
  4. The big thing about going AFK is that it takes up a server slot. Those spectator slots are to be mainly used by admins and not for other players to sit for extensive amounts of time or to use it to switch to a preferred team from one they were previously on as an example. If you need to leave your computer for whatever reason (getting a drink, bathroom, etc.), it's preferred to just disconnect and rejoin in when you're back. Being a GC member, it's not like you can't just rejoin the game when you reconnect. As you stated, it wasn't even full so disconnecting wouldn't have affected anything. Spectator slots are a special case and should only really be used by admins.
  5. [ spoiler ] delete the spaces [ /spoiler ] [ spoiler ] you can also do this. [ /spoiler ] and plz have that map ready for the next demo, i got so lost... i could swear the spikes room was in the right side of the mansion xD im tempted to grind again in the next demo just to kill them all for the hell of it. I'm going to make it so they give 0 exp though.
  6. Because this is what the room looks like: It should actually not dip down like that and be flat on the bottom with it being drawn up instead.
  7. Just leave the map and go back. He'll be sitting on the bridge. Thinking of having it so if you're a certain level in the earlier dungeons the enemies will either stop appearing, or the the encounter rate will be lower. I suppose I could have just removed the item, but I forgot to.
  8. Thanks for all the notes. I'll make my responses in bold/red. What did you think of the demo #2 boss though? Too easy or too hard? Thank you and Clony for both finishing the demo and giving input. For that, I'll try to find a place for the two of you in game that's more than just a cameo appearance. I'll add something there to reference that...
  9. Yeah. I have some ideas for mid game I'm debating about. Did you use the item the quiz rat gave you?
  10. The mansion was mainly designed to have the party be around the 6-7 level mark. Did either of you guys find the Quiz Rat though? It started out as it, but turned into a loosely based version of it.
  11. Having owned an ASUS ROG laptop before, I can vouch for them. The build quality on those things is fantastic as well as it pretty much lasted 2 years of constantly being powered on with no issues arising from it at all before I resold it last year to buy a much lighter laptop because...well, I didn't need a gaming laptop since I already own a gaming desktop. They are just an all-around beast of a machine...and with that, HEAVY AS F**K, but not so much so that you still can't carry it like a book under your arm. The Lenovo one is slimmer in size and a little lighter. I think both models are showcased at Best Buy (or at least similar models) so I got to see both in person (since I work at one) which I would recommend seeing in person before pulling the trigger (call if they have a gaming series Lenovo/ASUS ROG beforehand though. Not all I think would have shelf-displays of laptops across the company). The keyboard on the ROG is superior to the Lenovo in my opinion. It just felt...perfect. Not mechanical keyboard perfect, but as good as a laptop can get.
  12. How is "Harsh Noise Wall" a thing?!

  13. Please don't let a ban discourage you from playing again. Most of the time we use bans as a way to communicate the rules to players who may not be familiar with them. It's also a way to get a message across to more problematic players (not in your case though). If you have questions, concerns, or are unsure about something, add an admin on Steam and ask/talk about it. We're here to help when we can.
  14. Figures, lol. The other event pages were never set to "Same as Characters" after you look at it the first time.
  15. Damn, 6 hours?! Did you get the item needed for that boarded up room? The item you get from the quiz rat actually makes the mansion dungeon noticeably easier.
  16. Hitboxes in L4D2 are garbage. They're almost never in sync with the model when a player is moving. The higher the speed, the more out of sync the hitbox is going to be...and lag is a factor in it as well. This is an old video, but it gives a visual example of how crap they are (this was from L4D1, not 2):
  17. When they're read in a certain order, it gives you the solution you need to use in another room.
  18. You're past the point in which you could find the Rat. He's found in Hammerport.
  19. Use the piano, and backtrack to the rooms that had those papers laying around. Was a clue. Where did you read that last?
  20. I didn't think it was too big of a deal since the event can't be triggered a second time so I left it alone. Glad to see you're making progress with it. Did you find the quiz rat though?
