That does not make any sense. The skins in HotS do nothing for gameplay. Read what I typed again. The different skins CAN affect game-play because when some people see a hero walking around with a Master skin, they will run away from it or avoid that confrontation in that battle in case it was earned by skill rather than money. I've seen it before in that game. So yes, it can affect game-play.

There are 64 different skins in Heroes of the Storm, at a total of 569.81. That's an average of about $8 per skin. Some cost more, others cost less. But the point is that while you play, many people you play with, and against, will see your skin. In Hearthstone, you only play against 1 person. If you buy a new skin in HotS, you can actually have a small impact on the players around you if they deem your skin a product of your skill, and not your wallet. On the other hand, the new skin in hearthstone won't really change gameplay at all since it's not earned with skill. So far they haven't said you can buy the skin with gold earned from quests or not. Even then, I'm not very good at hearthstone and I just play for the quests and save my gold. But I'd rather spend gold on new cards or buy new dungeon levels when they come out since those can actually benefit my deck...rather than buy a new skin to look pretty against one other person. Long story short, I think Blizz has become something that I don't like with other pay-to-win game companies.

Unless you have money to burn, don't but this new hero. It's just a new skin for the warrior hero class. Seriously, it's $10 for a cosmetic change to the warrior. This is like above and beyond anything I thought Blizz would do.

Might not be a ghost town if you used spigot instead. Supposedly it works with almost all mods and plugins now.

Any thoughts on using this instead of Bukkit...which will never see light of day again?

There a chance we can get a sticky of all the mods being used and their functions, as well as a link to the new dynmap?

How about you name the time and I'll make sure I have that time off to play. I just can't do it late night Friday or Saturday....or during the weekend in general. I'm available during the weekday/night this week.

I remember this subject being brought up a while ago...like years ago. I think someone wanted to have some abilities added to the SI to make them more usable...but for a cost in points. They wanted all similar features that another server had called Zombie Islands, which was a rival of this server at the time. Anyways, Jackie interjected and stated that they did not want to change the abilities of survivors or infected and that everything was to stay as vanilla as possible. So I'm pretty sure the same deal stands.

Then he immediately logged. I have a screenshot of his character that became a bot after he logged, including the chat showing he logged. Bots don't go that far ahead of the pack.

I haven't seen that bug before, but it makes sense. I haven't really heard of anyone buying the desert eagle while downed. I think many moons ago I saw a similar bug where while I was down, I bought a new weapon, but when I healed, I didn't have that weapon. I'm not entirely sure if this even happened, but your story rings a bell. I'm sure Jackie or CrasX already know about this though.

Yes sorry about that. The server I'm talking about is Wastes. There's bases all over the place...especially by the police station.

We need to organize a good raid soon before another reset! I had died a couple weeks ago due to a trap under someone's fort at the big mansion. Anyways, I respawned near Pleasantville and got myself some good weapons and ammo within 30 minutes of being alive. I noticed someone built a few forts right outside of the church. Then as I headed to the police station, there were forts everywhere. Someone built a fort in the street between the station and the warehouses. Also, someone build a big fort in the police station parking lot. Now here's where it gets interesting. The fort is high enough I could enter from the roof of the station, but someone blocked the exit to the roof with a shack.... So with that in mind, anyone want to take over some forts?

I was hoping someone else would be online, but I was all alone. I decided to take my jeep out for a stroll. Also, I noticed we no longer have codes on our doors. Might need to change after reading this story. I went to Pleasantville to grab some ammo and hunt zombies for a key. On the way there, before the gas station that's next to the fire station and the road barricade, I found a giant swarm of zombies on a hill. There must have been about 30 of them in a small area. I decided to do a little destruction derby and killed about half of them. Then I slowly made my way past the police station and to the church where I find most of my ammo. I noticed there were a lot more zombies around today as I was headed up there. As I got to the Church parking lot, I found 2 zombies in the lot. I got out to kill them, but I started getting attacked by invisible zombies. I also noticed the church was surround by about 10 zombies lurking about. So I ran as fast as I could into the church and shut the door thinking I was safe...I was dead wrong. I turned around and there were 2 zombies in the church with me. I killed both of them and started searching. I got a decent amount of ammo, so I started to head back to camp. I thought I was heading in the right direction, but I must have gone up the wrong mountain, but we'll get to that later. As I tried getting my jeep up the mountain (through the woods) I wanted to go up on foot first to find out if I was in the right spot. Right when I got out I had a couple zombies chasing me. I put two holes in their head, but I was still getting attacked. Low and behold it was the invisible zombie squad. I got back in the jeep to head up the mountain and I rolled it..... I jumped out and watched it haul away from me while upside down till it exploded. I start heading up the mountain and I head shot another zombie, which to my surprise I got a loot key! I find the base and run to it, only to find it locked...which was weird because our base wasn't locked when I left. Also there were no cars around. Then I realized I was not at our base. This was someone else's base. I'm not sure if one of our guys made another base on the mountain south of us, but either way I noted the coordinates for it. x=1775 y=300 z=-3210 I run north to the other mountain and I found our actual base. I locked myself inside and logged off. Anyways does anyone wanna join me later on to find this loot stash? *edit* While typing this, I forgot to log off....and now I'm dead.

I'm not sure about the other servers, but it looks like Wastes was reset because my character is gone Is this normal for the character to be completely deleted?

I think I got the hang of this game now. The hardest part is at the beginning. I was wondering if anyone was playing tonight and on what server? FYI my mic is down...well technically my whole headset because I can't seem to find my logitech adapter that goes to my wireless headset since I have moved.

I was thinking about that. Although I still want to learn more recipe stuff and learn how to build a fort before I get into a high-pop server. Let me know when some of you guys are going to be on as a group. I'd definitely like to play as a group on a high-pop server. Those are the best times!

Not too bad of a game, but the Zombies are scarce...and so were the players on Wastes. I died a few times trying to learn all the mechanics. The first time I died was due to starvation. Once I knew berries were good for a bit, and once I knew how to make a bow and arrow, I started exploring. Eventually (after about 2 hours) I made my way to Pleasant Valley. I found the police station there and there were litterally no people around. I got a military back pack, and put another military pack in it, got an AR15 with 1 round, and a pistol with 12 rounds. As I was making my way out of the station, I saw someone....and he ran away and circled around back of the station. So I ran downstairs and hid underneath the stairway by the armory. As I waited...some dude hauled into the armory before I could even blink an eye. Then a couple other people were roaming the stairs, glitching in and out of my sight. I'm not sure if it was lag, or if they were using a speed hack to run around the place, but I logged off as soon as I could so I could avoid getting killed. So what do you guys think...were they speed hackers?

Ok I bought it. I haven't tried it yet though....but I will tonight. Kinda sucks the weapon aspect of the game is considered weak, since that's one reason I liked DayZ (Arma 2 mod)....the weapons were very realistic and each one had to be handled differently in different situations. Plus sniping in that game was amazingly fun.

so no one have any input? I asked because I have money to buy this game or something else. So far the lack of response means I shouldn't buy it?
