Infidel, yea it's in the screens when they decode the video. The traliers on the ship say "aperture labs" and have the same logo as in portal. They will certainly sell alot of they somehow tie storylines between the two. It's a novel strategy to create such an epic game from different vantage points that you get to experience; VERY CLEVER. Dweez, I did go back to a certain point in the game and when they decode the video stream it talks about aperture science labs which is what portal is based on. These guys as valve are smart to keep creating different points of view of the same story. Gearbox did it with Opposing force and then blue shift (blue shift may have been valve) but all in all it keeps the story interesting. *** IF anyone has not played EP2 then read no further *** That scene with the G man was like something out of hollywood. Perfect timing, perfect vocals (as always), perfect camera angles and effects (like seeing him close up and sitting behind the desk at the same time. EVEN perfect gestures like when he says "She was worth far more than the original appraisal" and points his two fingers up like hes some lawyer or something. HL is def my fav series at this point. Demoner, You may be right. I am no expert in air quality management. It seems that having all cars run on zero gas and all electricity may have greater benefits, due to finding a new generator source. For example nuclear power is available if we wanted to. Though I'm not crazy about that Idea, there are different ways of using wind, ocean (like france using the tide), cleaner burning fuels to run the power plants. Just seems like there are possible alternatives (dump coal in other words). Aug

The clarity is a nice one too. The only drawback is this fuel cell stuff. If honda could do with this what they the volt does and extend the range from 50 to 100 miles THAT IS THE ANSWER : ) meaning the clarity would run 100 miles off battery and when the battery is low the fuel cell runs to generate power for the car and recharge the battery; all while maintaining clean emissions. AWSOME, plus for most driving (to work and home or around town) you wont hardly ever need the fuel cell recharged becuase your running 100 miles off the battery. now its keeping the cost of a battery down that will matter : ) Aug

Toyota and Honda are hot on the electric and fuel cell trail. I don't think Chevy is playing with this one. Perhaps you are right and it's just a ploy to buy some time for some other idea (piece of junk) they'll throw out on the market. But I tend to believe this one is real. IMHO GM has invested far too much to pull the plug on this one. I think their idea is profound and they know it. When everyone (toy, hond, dodge, ford) all have been trying to solve the electrical problem....A electric car can't go far enough for it to be taken seriously, GM thought..."what if we made it go short runs completely on electrical and long runs on gas". It's so simple and if they throw that thing on the market and devolope a car like the Aveo that is similar, they'll have a HOT HOT seller on their hands. Emptying the gas tank may be a problem however. From what I understand gas goes bad. It seperates in time and cannot be remixed??? I've been told that so I don't know if it's true. I had mentioned that I had seen him one other time which is a hard one to catch. its right after raven holm you come out the mines. when you reach the train tracks you'll fight a few combine. if you run to the corner or hop on top of the trains you'll catch him in the back train yard. running to the corner is the easiest way cause you'll have to stack stuff to hop on the train. Guys, your support is so meaningful. I am confident I did the right thing but I due to the main boss telling me that it was authorized by he and the director (which I'm sure it was) I said nothing to corporate. It's wans't until I heard they were going to make her my boss that I blew the whistle. So in some respects I did it for self preservation, so I don't feel so noble. However, I do believe they abused their practices. The practice is that as a bakery (large distribution for a chain of markets kroger, ralphs, food for less, fred meyer, smiths...on and on) we can have emergency deliveries of a machine part or electronic part...PLC card by allen bradley or an inverter or relay or anything. The abuse is clear that when the purchaser is absent on fmla the emergencies drop from approx 20 per period (our max allowance is 13) to about 6 per period. I noticed it after about a year and it felt ugly. Anyhow, I don't feel to good in the sense that when I first learned of it I did not blow the whistle to coroporate. What had happened is I notices I was in circle that I DID NOT WANT TO BE IN. The circle was that she would call me and ask me to requistion her company so she could make a po and make the delivery and then I receive it so accounting will issue the check. So the circle is obvious. She calls, I req, she issue the po, I receive it. I felt if she ripped off the company they could come to me and ask me who gave me authorization to req it and I would have to answer SHE DID. FIRED! So I went to the boss and told him about it. He assured me I was doing the right thing but that it was authorized by the director and him and the manager (the guy under him) so it was not UNETHICAL. I believe it still is unethical. I don't think that if a compnay says this practice is unethical it means that a manager can ok it and now it's not unethical. The practice not only puts the person at risk but others can be hurt (as in my case) as well. So anyways, thanks guys for the prayer. I really need it as it's hard not to be scared of losing the job. Guys, I really need you to pray for me. Basically I was caught in a circle of an unethical practice in our bakery. The managers allowed the purchaser to sell to herself (she owns a delivery company). When I caught something that seemed wrong I flagged it to the boss because I felt I needed to say something because I am the receiver. I realized I was responsible for this and if something goes wrong I could be seen in a bad light. Sadly I reported it and I was told everything was ok. Months later (approx 4) I was told she applied to become my boss. I became scared and reported my concerns to the director of the bakery. The next day I reported it to corporate via a system called ethics point. Well next week all H E double hokey sticks is gonna break loose. I fear in the end I could be the one in trouble for a job because management loves this lady (thats why the allowed her to sell to herself despite the fact that it CLEARLY is a conflict of interest). Anyhow my stress level is off the charts and I'm truly worried. So please pray for me guys, Thanks, Auggy

Guys, I've got a prob with flash roll over buttons. I made a group of buttons and their animated. However when I load a web page they seem to continually load. I didn't think much of it but now that I have my flash videos on my web site, it seems that there is something wrong. After playing 3 videos the site just stalls up and the loading continues on and on and on...and on in order to play another video the browser has to be closed and re-opened. I'm accomidating IE 7.0 since most the world uses this. I tried puting actions "stop()" in every movie but then it does not load the buttons. So I had to remove the stop action out of the project timeline. Each movie still has the stop() command. So overall each movie in the SWF has a stop() action in it but the project timeline does not and it still is loading constantly w/o end. anyone know anything about flash. I'm using 5.0. Aug

Bigbones, It seems to me that every religion is hard to fully understand. Within each one, there are different ideas or theologies that cause divisions. As stated above, christianity makes alot of sense and that is why I embrace it. As I understand the protestant views (chrisian) you cannot get to heaven by being good. So being moral won't do anything to get you through the pearly gates. So what is the anser then to "what must I do to be saved". I believe this is the right question for all of us. Jesus replied "sell everything you have and give it to the poor and follow me". So there you go : ) Now I'm a Universal Reconciliationist (universalist of a type) and I believe you are going to be saved at some time or another. God is going to bring you to you knees but the longer you rebel the harder it becomes. I would say that you trying to be moral is not a bad thing but what causes a person to become the person who cares about others.... it's not being moral but SEEKING GOD. I like the post about "seek and ye shall find, ask, knock..." I agree with this. The more you begin to understand that your works (moral acts) do not merit your way into heaven the more heart broken you will become and this broken heart will humble you before God. Heres where I part with my protestant brothers, I do not believe that God forgiving you is CONDITIONAL on your repentance. it is HIS KINDNESS (forgiveness) that leads us to repentance so YOU KNOWING GOD LOVES YOU AND FORGIVES YOU FOR YOUR WRONG DOING is KEY to you loving him. Many christians will tell you, you have to repent and then God will forgive you. HOGWASH! The reason God forgives us is because we are blind and we don't understand the wrong we do. That is why Jesus prayed "Forgive them for they know NOT what they do." God upon the cross forgave w/o them needing to ask for it. THEY CAN'T ASK FOR IT BECAUSE THEY BELILEVE THEY ARE RIGHTeouss. So I think you should understand that it is LOVE that saves. Gods love for his children to die for them. God's love for his enemies to forgive them. Gods love to lower himself to show us the way to be perfect as our father in heaven is perfect. LOVES is what gets you into heaven. So the bar is set....DO YOU LOVE (even your enemies)? My guess is your like us all, which means NO YOU DONT! So I say study Jesus CLOSELY not just a 10 minute reading. and THINK ABOUT WHAT he SAYS. Guys, I agree questioning your belliefs is VERY healthy. I did this and now I'm a christian universalist. I'll give some thoughts on why I agree with Archon as to my belief in scripture (jewish) being authentic and why Judean christian beliefs are set apart. The Exodus. Within the universalists frame work the scriptures do something NO OTHER BOOK (that I know of) does; 3 dimensional parallels. I use 3D only to communicate the thought because there are more than 3 parallels ofter. George Lucas (who I believe might be a U) obviously took notice of this notion of the bible and built a scince fiction story. In the Exodus the story that is written thousands of years before the messiash arrives the story line takes a "NON" literal approcah and CLEARLY resonates the story of GOLGATHA. Isreal is in bondage to egypt. God tells moses to tell pharoa "let my people go" and "tell pharoa, Isreal is my first born son". The story though takes turns that is quite interesting. The model of Joshua (Jesus' name in hebrew) who is moses, is almost killed as an infant and ends up in the hands of the pharoas daughter in Egypt (this happened to Joshua whos mother took him to Egypt). Eventually Moses is called by God (paralleled with The Son of God) to lead Isreal from the bondage of Egypt. Moses also parallels every chrsitian who is called to go unto all nations. God CAUSES pharoa to have a hard heart so that he will disobey his command to release Isreal. God pours out his wrath upon Egypt and at the death of the first born son, the slaughter of the lamb the pharoas heart is broken (salvation) and he obeys God and Isreal is released from the bondage of Egypt. To romans: For God has bound all men to disobedience. Isreal is a model of Adam. Adam fell from his place with God and was bound to sin (death) symetrical with Isreal being in bondage to Egypt. God wants to save Adam and shows through the Exodus his redmeption and how he will accomplish this. Thousands of years later Jesus WHO IS NOT ONLY THE SON OF GOD, BUT IS GOD. Comes not only as Adams son (the son of man [adam]) but also as his father (prince of peace, mighty God, everlasting Father) to save his son (TRINITY). He deomonstrates NOT HIS HUMANITY in the garden before the crucifixion but HIS DEITY because he knows the story of Abraham all too well... Abraham led his son up to the mount God had shown him (believed to be golgatha) and laid him upon the altar... But Jesus knows there is a part that happens before.... Abraham BINDS his son with rope. Jesus knows this and he is about to be "BOUND TO DISOBEDIENCE" just as Adam was (DEATH). A holy God does not Die and it is his last enemy to be destroyed. Jesus is put upon a cross Used by acient cultures for capital punishment. Back to the Exodus: Before God tatkes the first born son, he tells Moses, take a Spotless lamb and slaughter it. Take it's blood and place the blood on the center left frame and center right frame and center top frame. The symbol shows a cross which was not EVER of the jewish culture (still is not today). dont you find that wierd? Isreal is released from the bondage of Egypt as God breaks Pharoa Jesus is raised from the dead as God breaks the power of death Now not only is Isreal a model of Jesus being raised from the dead, they simotaneously are a model of the whole world being reconciled from death to life (col 1: for God was pleased to reconcile unto himself all things by making peace upon the cross) They also are a model the bride of Christ who is led out of a sinful life into a spiritual life. (see the whole nt) Pharoa models death whos power holds Isreal in bondage Simoteanously pharoa models every man who is a sinful man who God breaks (humbles). Moses models the messiah who leads each person from death to life at the same time models God who rasies Jesus from the dead. now this leads to Isreal being free and receiving the law. But the law which MOST people believed was designed to save them FRAMED them to make the very thing that the exodus was about to happen. The pharisees were like us LITERALIST. The messiah comes and begins to preach things which are not of scirpture. 1) YOU SHALL NOT DO ANY WORK on the sabbath. Jesus begins to teach you can do good work. Many times Jesus does what the law says NOT TO DO and thus they designate him as a law breaker. thousands of years before David writes..."He was numbered among the transgressors". The pharisees thus prosecute him seeing he has power from satan. The law which demands that they (isreal) abstain from unclean foods, DO NOT WORK on the sabbath, Stone adultresses, Do no touch unclean people, puts this man Jesus upon the cross to kill him. The stories are so ELOQUENTLY flowing I'm amazed it could be this consistent by so many writers through so many years. Jesus is Adams son (Eve is told, you will bear a son and he will crush the serpent head and he will bruise his heel) Jesus is Adams father (Creator of all things, for all things were created for him, through him...) The story is not only that God gave his son...ITS BETTER God DIED FOR HIS CHILDREN to defeat death. This is why he must go to the cross. Not to appease an angry God. The only way to defeat death (to save his children adam and eve) is to die. So when he prays "let this cup pass" it's a def NO! YOU MUST DIE so he might defeat death. The other notions that ring about that are SO antitheitcal to any religion I know of is the REVERSAL. This means, like the law, God is angry and needs blood. He DEMOLISHES the wicked. But later we find God loves the wicked. When God seems like one who only blesses those who do good and seek him, he prays "Father forgive them, they know not what they do" and a VERY unique doctrine is birthed... GRACE! Christianity endorses that forgivness is a form of JUSTICE which (even christians today) most people do not endorse. Whatever the case I find it odd that a symbol within this story is the very symbol ROME uses (not the jews) to kill the messiah. It is the very symbol that the blood on the door shows and the power of death (Egypt) is destoryed and Isreal (the world) is saved. After the exodus, Moses is not allowed to enter the holy land??? Who does God appoint to lead Isreal into the holy land....JOSHUA (Jesus' name in hebrew). Then Joshua is commanded to WIPE out the inhabitants. People struggle with these texts saying God is merciless, but he is not, because (with the universalist framework) those who are destroyed are a part of God showing the whole world that he will deal with sin and save the WHOLE WORLD (Isreal). So Isreal in this case is a model of a sinner being led from death to life (promise land) by Joshua (Jesus) who destroys the sin in the promise land. Isreal also STILL models Jesus inherits the promise land and reigns. For God gives him dominion of the whole world, which is what happens with adam (dominon over the earth). to close a bit about Adam. Most people believe all men were created in the image of God (because of parallels)l; it is true and not true. Adam was created in the image of God but it is a reference to Jesus (according to paul in corinthains) who is the image of God. but adam fell and lost the image and bore the image of another (satan). The pharisees are called sons of Satan. When one is saved (born again) he begins to become transformed into the image of Jesus (who is the image of God). So the "image of God" is a reference to the Son of God found in Genesis. Adam who is in the image of God, is God's first born son, given domion over the earth, whom God loves. Jesus is the Image of God, is First born over all creation, given dominion over all the earth, whom God loves. These references in Genesis are not stating that Adam failed and therfore God went into plan B, Jesus. It was God's plan all along for Adam to fail (For God has bound all men over to disobedience - romans 11) The references are ALL ABOUT JESUS which is why he tells Isreal (I've come to fullfill the law and the prophets). He means THE BOOK IS ABOUT ME! moving along to psalms... David makes many comments about the Son of God which I doubt he even thought about. "they have pierced my hands and my feet" which is totally out of context. It's poetry David writes and yet this is the thing the writers of the NT pick up on. Now of course the writes could have simply created the crucifixion story and MADE it align with old testament. But The cross seems poblematic since it was Rome who employed the symbol and it is the symbol found int he exodus story of the blood of the lamb on the wood frames on the door. Rome, I feel had no reason to read jewish lit. to figure a way to create a capital punishment system. So all in all I feel the story is WAY too dynamic for any of these men, especially through thousands of years by many writers. Perhaps a few books all in a relative short time but over a long span of time it seems to be problematic. The NUANCES of these models and parallels seems to me to be too fine and to multi dimensional to have whiped up. I figure there would be FAR greater inconsitencies. Dark, though we see different the end of things, I agree with you whole heartily. Jesus is our Father and for us to deny his love for us is for a son to hate his dad. As you grow Dark, someday you will (probably) have children and then you will know that God's love is TRULY unconditional. Demoner, I use cameras for my wed video co. and I my advice is to go with Canon. I like Nikon and all but Canon controls are easy to use. the Controls make a MASSIVE difference on whehter you capture the image right or not. My advice is the IS series either 2,3 or 5.
