  1. I got updated. I can get in but now its as if my firewall is up. Only 1 server is there my fav- all are "not responding" and yet I have my firewall set up correctly. I hate this! Auggy
  2. I think I put star wars 4,5 and 6 as my most classic. I dont think I've seen a movie like those that has compelled me so much. Of course I was like 8 years old when SW came out. But I remember the SOOO anitcipated feeling of watching empire and return of the Jedi. I imagine kids are diggin matrix and lotr in the same way. Movies rock! I wish I could make a movie. I'd make one like reno 911 hahahahahaha OUT!
  3. oh hell no! someones trying to tell me resident evil is great! OH HELL NO! that movie ranks right there with leprechaun!!!!!! Troll, double dragon! Gawd guys come one. what about empire strikes back! blade runner alien terminator little house on the prarie (joking) x men is better than res evil hands down! did anyone see 28 days later? Tell please do! Auggy
  4. we all sin but God will judge as he sees fit. as for age of accountability, I've not yet been able to find that in the scriptures. I thinks its a way we treat our conscience. I do think babes and handicapped people will be judged fairly by God and thus be saved. But I'm a flippin liberal when it comes to bible:) I just don't see how we can say "IT MUST BE SCRIPTUAL" and then preach age of accountability. God will do what God wants to do. I say he loves em and saves em. Jane, your splitting man? I'm kinda bummed. Auggy
  5. pup, I don't know about losing or not losing salvation; Too deep of an issue for me (or anyone else I believe). I do agree about Job my point was his provision may have not been what some believe it to be. Some people looked at job and thought he did God wrong and thus suffered. But God was providing him it just wasnt in his (jobs) expected time. Some people get the Idea a great life on earth is Gods provision for us. I don't buy that. sorry to dissapoint some. Also pre-trib? You buy that smack? I studied that and found it to be as stable as mormon doctrine hahahahaha. Honestly I don't mean to offend mormons. What I mean is mormons don't treat scriptures with reality. Some stuff you can debate but sometimes they seem to just flat out deny the scriptures. I find Pre-trib doing the same thing. Watch, I don't think Elton John or John Lennon ever wrote one song with the intention to bring glory to God. I think they wrote their songs to get famous...make a lot of money...have a great life. Seriously Watch, if you want to hear a great christian musician I'll buy you the Keith Green collection. let me email you an mp3 at least. come on watch what do you say? you have to answer yes to my question Auggy
  6. I believe theres a God and I'm still a jerk to people! If there was no God then as einstien said "than Life is cruel". I want to go on knowing my family, freinds and dog will be ok auggy
  7. ahhh Dweez, Na I've heard lots of Chapman, Rich Mullens, Phil Keaggy, Randy stonehill, Micheal W. Smith. but you ask the right questions. Like I said I do believe there are people who have great hearts for God. I think the the first 2 on my list are (were) great guys. so you ask what defines a good songwriter. One who God has gifted with a special ability to write beautiful music. of course beautiful is subjective hearer to hearer. But on a broadscale (market) there is an objective side to it. Lyrically I have no problems with them or if you like I have no problems with them as poets. But as writing music I think they stink most of the time. NOT ALL THE TIME! Heak Even Lennon and Elton have written BAD stuff also. But on a consistent basis they usually don't write stuff that is highly marketable. Believe me if it was marketable the world would take advantage of it and you would see them in the no.1 and top ten all the time. However they are not so the secular A/R arena's simply don't sign em. Footswitch is a good band with good songwriting so they are signed and you see em on mtv and the top 50. My point is not to bring these musicians down but rather I was simply making the point that Keith Green is a huge exception to the "Chrisitans music stinks" rule. This guy could write music not 1 song on an album, like most people. Just about every song he wrote was out of this world catchy or powerful (energetic). My belief is that God has gifted Elton John, he just uses it to serve himself rather than God. He gifted Lennon, but lennon chose to serve himself rather than God. I don't think he's gifted these people near what he's gifted people in the world. Do I listen to them? Amy Grant was gifted with a great voice. NO DOUBT! So people want to hear her. Again I'm not trying to say these guys suck. They certainly don't suck. They just never write stuff thats GREAT (musically) like the disney songwriters (alan menken) would do, or elton john or James Horner (composer). BELIEVE ME I WISH THEY WOULD!!!! So I encourage people, if you like elton John then get keith Greens stuff and it will knock your socks off! Auggy
  8. Phil keaggy is indeed a good guitarist. Steven Curtis Chapman is a talanted man also. However as songwriters well.... I can only say they suck! Good men? Yes. Devoted? I believe so. Good songwriters? NO! Sorry guys, 99% of C musicians just arent that good. but at least theyre not that bad either Auggy
  9. I've only heard of some of the bands but I can say that from listening to christian radio for quite some time. It's absurd to say that anyone (except for keith green) from the christian arena has proven to be a talent near the likes of elton john or john lennon. Chances are these bands are fairly good but someone will have to put out like 30 no. 1 hits in order to prove this. While Kieth didn't do 30 no. 1's he certainly took the market by storm for 2 reasons, NO COMPROMISE, and AWSOME SONG WRITING. Micheal W. Smith.....NOT! Rich Mullens....NOT! Jars of Clay....NOT! Were talking awsome musicians like Robert Smith (the cure), James hetfield (metallica), Miles Hunt (Wonderstuff), Elton and lennon and mcartney, barry gibb...and the list goes on. I have not heard anyone step up to the plate like these secular artists. These are real bands, not like audio adrenaline. It's like comparing Christian movies to secular. Sorry guys the church just doesnt have it. The church usually has sorry song writing or sorry directing. And dont you dare try to put lavern trip (tbn singer with the large white afro) in the same group with elton john either! OUT!
  10. Gawd guys get some class and tast You guys need to see some real movies. what about classics like Vacation airplane im gonna get you sucka! Monty Pythons holy grail Please!!!!
  11. Since the 80's theres only a few. Switchfoot? Sixpence? thats about the only ones i can think of Auggy
  12. Watch, I agree with crow, start with new testament. But read Luke. Luke is so amazing if you really really study. Romans is another great one. Heak if you wanna really knock your socks off read revelation Knock, if you get a chance to see the movie Luther go see it. HEE HEE im trying to convert knock to protestant it is a really good movie. I certainly dont think catholics are bad but at some time in history just about every religion has done terrible things or taught crooked things. Some people think protestants are God's people yet its protestants who are on TV doing the SO CALLED FAKE HEALINGS and taking in MILLLLLLIIIOONNS of dollars. I liked the movie because like Jesus it brings you close to what matters whether your protestant or catholic, you'll appreciate what he stood for (loving people and God). He kinda reminds me of Keith Green. Again if anyone wants his music I'll gladly mail a copy of his stuff YOU"LL DIG IT. Well if you like elton John this guy was right there on equal ground with Elton, and I love to write music so I'm not just saying that. He really was an aswome song writer. Auggy
  13. Cowboy, I think the part I struggle with is the "lean not on your own understanding..." This makes it difficult, especially cause there are two parts raging war in me. Auggy
  14. exactly watch, to further my point I struggle with things like "they will be bitten by poisonous snakes and not die" so people dance with rattlers, child gets bit, they don't take em to the hospital. What do they do...."they pray". Some people do both...they take em to the hospital and they pray. The first group would say "compromise" When Jesus asked Peter to step out of the boat to walk on water. Would it have been wise for peter to say 'oh dude i'll throw that board in the water then step out, in case i start to sink ill grab on to the board..." I know, I know, cheesy... But seriously I understand watches thoughts on this. I get frustrated cause I feel like people think it's easy to trust in God. Isn't that hilrious, thats what our faith is about yet were all sinners. We're all faithfully challenged (politically correct for saying jacked up). Is it wisdom to step out of a boat in a huge storm. It is if God says it is. Will we drown? Thats the part I can't answer. He says he'll direct our paths and the last time I read, many people died for this faith. Some were sawed into two, crucified, tortured, fed to dogs and lions.... WOW not that is faith!!!! I think him directing our paths doesnt mean life will be swell. I think it means eternity with him is a lock! Auggy
  15. Jane doesnt it say we will suffer persecution? I take this passage to mean that in the end we will be credited righteouss. But I do tend to read it for what it says which is why I struggle with some of the ideas I come across. povision when we need it? I agree, but what does provision mean. I tend to think some people (ala Job) suffered for a testing. During this time things were taken from him not provided to him. But in the end the provision was there. So I agree but I don't think its a provision of bread and water (not that it never is bread or water) just that the main provision is spiritual strength. Auggy
  16. hey knock, I havent seen you aroung (unless you changed your name to trouble) I think I recall trouble sounding like you:) anyways I have a hard time with this. Does If I'm not to lean on my own understanding does that mean I can throw education out. It's these verses I struggle with concerning the issue of faith. When I get a headache should I trust in my own understanding and take asprin...or pray? is this fair of me. I had this conversation with my father-in-law not too long ago. I can't remember what he said but I think it was something to the effect that God gives us wisdom through natural things sometimes. So the wisdom of doctors is not truly a violation of faith. However I still get the sense from verses like this that it means if I think there is a solution DONT DO IT! Go Gods way, but how do I know my way is not God instructing me? I like Kieth Greens words "just keep doing your best and pray that it's blessed, and Jesus takes care of the rest!" Auggy
  17. hahahahaha I'm sorry guys. It's just that M1 was like one of my fav sci-fi's of all time. I felt it joined the ranks of other greats like Star wars and terminator or alien. Very few directors make great sci-fi's like these movies and Matrix is def among the elite. I'm in way too deep raven......SAVE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Auggy
  18. dweez, I'm not bent on it being an emp. moreso that it was like an emp being it disable the machines. I understand what your saying about bane/smith setting it off but how fast did the hammer (what ever the ship is called) get from there to neo? Bane was already in coma when the hammer picked him up. They stated that they found him like that so they couldn't ask him any questions. If he fell into coma when neo did then the hammer found smith about 200 yards from nebech. loaded him up traveled about 200 yards and said ohhh look. not! They found him some distance from neo and it took some time to get from banes site to neos site. Unless neo was in coma for some time before being rescued but thats not was depicted in the movie. In the movie during the time the nebech is being destroyed (neo is not in coma) the hammer probably already has bane loaded on the ship and is in movement towards them. Then the sentinels go after neo...neo blasts em...then the hammer comes. so bane was well into his coma before neo. OR if not then its just a inconsistency of time. Auggy
  19. the only person not addicted to crack on this thread is xterminator Monica Belluci is way better than all the women listed. aug
  20. lance dude you got it backwards man, the question is for 5 best not 5 worse! Aug
  21. try d/l the steamupdate update. Its an update of the update. Once you update your update your should be updated to the latest update. Auggy
  22. ok here it is gooters, I don't think bane went into coma when neo did. One being that the shipped (hammond or hammer) that picked up morph, trin, and link had already picked up bane and he was already out cold. It seems like when neo did his hand emp thingy with the sents that that was well after the battle had taken place that bane had messed up. If they (band and neo) fell into coma at the same time then the time line is all jacked up. The hammer (what ever the ship is called) picked up bane first before they found morph trin, link and neo. so if they did go outcold then the battle happened just before neo did his emp thingy and it was just around the corner??? I'm now convinced Bane did the same thing neo did. He did it before neo did his abracadabra. The hammer first picked up bane who was already in coma...then they ran into the nebachzzer crew of which neo had just fell into the coma. What do you think of me now hahahahahahaha I'm frikin CRAZY! I agree with lance about the fighting. It gets a little old. Too much slow motion too I think. I have to hand the Terminator 3 crane scene for the best action yet. That scene was just awsome. Anyone else got some great action scenes? Auggy
