A few of you might remember me, I was a member about two years ago playing UT2k4 and CS:S. Since then I've been busy with school, work, and world of warcraft. I decided I'de stop by to see what all of you in GC are up too. Fatty, Flitterkill, Brillow, Liltard... How're you guys doing?

If it was an accident but avoidable what you do is... watch the person the round you were tk'd... wait till next round for judgement... if the person helps win the round then you forgive them... if the person makes a good attempt at trying to win the round you forgive them... if the person messes up again and doesn't help win the round or atleast try and help the team they go boom at beginning of next round (make sure you do this after they've bought guns so you can pickup their rifle). Whamo, you've just gotten their cash through their assets!

Still getting "Server is out of date" messages.

I am having the same problem, I believe it is related to the latest steam patch.

The few times that my playing of CS:S has coincided with yours it seems that you are correct excepting the coward portion. The fact that, given your level of skill, you choose to farm kills rather than play like a member of the team shows, to me, that you are selfish. Your choice of teams, when I have been playing, leads me to believe in the charge of being a team stacker. Quite frankly; this entire post makes me ill. It strikes me as nothing more than a plee for sympathy to certain members while managing to not address the underlying issues that you have with certain members of the community (and in fact running from facing these underlying issues by ceasing to play on the server). If you like to win so much that you cannot help your team because you think what they are doing is doomed then maybe you should consider another line of games...such as single player games. Of course, in single player games, you will not recieve attention from real people for having the best K:D ratio so maybe those aren't for you either. If you are really quitting the server then goodluck to you but posts such as this are both unnecessary and unwanted. If a community member's dog/cat/aunt/uncle/brother/sister/daughter/son/mom/dad ect.. died or was ill I would care...If a GC admin abused their authority I would care (okay you get the idea)...but I do not care that you are leaving because of an unresolved personality conflict between certain members simply because you cannot, for whatever reason, grasp the concept of teamwork without having someone hold your hand. Remember, there is no I in TEAM. This is my opinion, for those of you who disagree; you are free to do so but remember that just as you have the right to voice your opinion, so do I have the right to voice mine. I can post a picture too!

Let me just start out by saying welcome to the horde AK. We have some people like that but if you know the right people then getting defense groups and raid groups together for pvp isn't so hard. In addition to that we also have quite a few guilds with past hardcore pvp experience in other games such as shadowbane, lineage 2 and dark age of camelot.

I don't know what server/realm your on but that is only true (on a pvp server) vs people who either don't know how to pvp/play their class or people who don't have the same tools you do. Your post also neglected to mention your level vs target level (Most classes can kill people five levels under them 1v1). I could say the same but it would only be for people who fall under one of the following: Don't have first aid (with their class having a CC spell). Don't use potions. Don't have Engineering. I play Illidan/Horde which is a pvp server. My rogue is a L60 troll rogue, 300 Gnomish Engineer and has all blue L50+ drops, most from UBRS/Stratholme. In the end it will still come down to the random number generator sometimes. Missing that 5pt Evis with CB up or having your vanish not actually work or having the mage get a few lucky crits can spell the end of any rogue.

If a mage knows what hes doing and the rogue knows what hes doing the mage will probably win. The same for rogue vs priest if the priest is shadow spec and doesn't die b4 stun wears off. Also against warriors with improved overpower a rogue will usually lose given roughly equal tools. Classes that I beat 90% of the time at my level 1v1 are pallys, warlocks, hunters, rogues and druids. Priests I can usually beat if I have most of my timed abilities up. Versus a mage it dependes on how good they are. If they know how to play then I will probably die even with my timed abilities up and using engineering trinkets/bombs ect. Good warriors just beat the ever living crap outta me.

Those of us who have played other mmorpgs with stealth (mainly daoc) know that the ability to pick and choose who you fight and when you fight is one of the best abilities in the game. That isn't the only reason why people pick stealthers but thats why I picked one. As far as high level instance groups/raids...Most raids need rogues because of their massive dps output. The problem occurs when the warrior is not intelligent enough to keep aggro off of the rogues. The usual stratholme/brd/scholomance group I run with consists of the following (all are L60): 1x Warrior 1x Priest 1x Rogue 1x Mage 1x Shaman or Druid Priests are necessary for shackle, fort buff, efficent heals and damage absorb. Warrior taunts mobs off of everyone and keeps aggro with his high absorb and damage absorb buffs from the priest. Rogue assists warrior and deals the lion's share of the melee damage with attacks/posions. Mage deals with non-elite multi adds with PBAE spells (this happens alot in instances) and polyies elite adds. Mage also deals the lion's share of the magic damage. Shaman/Druid assist with group with versatility. For a shaman this means self rez, totems, instant dds, heals, good melee and pulling off of the casters. For a druid this means mark buff, healing, magic damage via moonfire and assisting the mage. Rogues are a necessary part of this group because there are certain monsters that have abilities that make them immune to melee after you get their hps down a certain % and some monsters that do the same for magic.

I saw an AK! I asked feyd if I could have it for a pet and he said sure then it died. I guess there is a reason why my mother never allowed me to have pets as a kid. Edit: BTW L500 bosses just means blizzard doesn't want you to know the boss level. There are L500 bosses in RFD but I can solo them at L60. Even the Beast (L500 named dragon/beast in upper blackrock spire) can be taken down by 3 good groups of L60s.

I wish the server could handle it too... If they don't do something soon battlegrounds are going to mean alot of server crashing during prime time.

Hey sorry destreea killed you yesterday kor. He was kinda mad that some L50 gnome rogue on the roof of gadgetzan used the gnomish mind control cap to make one of our guildies attack a guard and die :o/

A 48 rogue failed to kill you...that person needs to reroll to something a little more geared towards their level of play...like a shaman. Joking aside though sorry for ganking you like that. I'm usually of the red=dead persuasion unless I know the person or that person has treated me nicely while I was leveling up. Now that I have my Gnomish Net-O-Matic Projector I'll just root you and /dance

So you'd rather crash the server trying (and not succeeding) to take on a zone that has over 100 people (plus npcs) in it during primetime than take on a city that doesn't have 100+ people? I guess if you like waiting at the login screen while the server reboots then that might be fun for you.^

Just fyi for your future raiding... Org has over 100 people in it during primetime usually. I can't tell you how many because /who caps out at 49 but let me just say that during primetime there is always considerable auction and mailing lag in Org. Your best bet for a raid would have to be the undercity or mulgore imo, mulgore is usually deserted of higher levels and the undercity has no where near the population of org.

Are you the squishy little gnome named Korodas I PKayed last night in BB? Sorry if that was you, I generally try not to kill people I know but I wasn't sure and being indecisive in BB usually leads to a zerg of L40's rolling me over in a painful fashion.

I saw you AK in that failed raid on org a few night ago when kalimdor crashed because of the lag at the zep tower. I was waving then I realized the server wasn't showing any emote messages and nobody was moving.

You just know there are going to be stealther groups camping the other factions BG entrance on the pvp servers...I'm getting mine ready

It would be silly not to release the highest level battlegrounds first. Personally if blizzard doesn't come out with the 50-60 Battlegrounds first I'm going to camp the alliance's BG entrance whenever possible (because I doubt they will put it in an uncontested zone, that would be too smart). Not that this would matter on a PVE server but on a PVP server I see BG entrance camping becoming a viable tactic in the near future when BGs are released.

L60 on Jeffet~
