Also, lets set up a draft time that works for everyone, including those losers on the west coast. I'm fine with east coast 10pm if that helps. Also we can push that day closer to the season start because someone's gonna break a tibia or something before then...

So with Witten and Dallas looking more and more like not a good match anymore I went shopping for tight ends yesterday afternoon. I'm good with my choice, seems ascendant but was a little tough watching last night's game knowing the guy on the screen was my other choice... I'm sure TBT is pretty happy though

Given my team's performance I'll take 2-1 all day long. Underperformer vs. Underperrformer this week and I win! Still, Rodgers, Lacy, Witten plus my stable of WR2's leaves me vulnerable as hell. The only consistent performers I have are Dan Bailey (K), and the Cinci DEF. Oh, and Russel Wilson on the bench pulling just shy of 20 all three weeks. But the matchup this week was that ATL-TB game. TBT had 3 ATL players and the TB def rolling but check out how crazy fantasy is. Julio Jones blew away his point total but outside of that... Matt Ryan? 56-14 win? Just nipped into the low 20's with only three td's. Steven Jackson beat his 10.4 projection by a single point. And the insanity? Your defense let's fly 56 points against? Should be negative bazillion points right? They got 11 on the back of that late interception run back and a couple fumble recoveries. The negative points applied stops once you hit 35 against. Yes, the TB def *exceeded* their projection. EDIT: Lol, look at my points against total through 3 games. My team better get it going soon...

Nothing really, unless there is something hidden deeper in the linux logs. Minecraft and MyMCAdmin are all zilch as far as anything actionable in the logs. It's been up for awhile now, and honestly, this nonsense might be why a week ago our server provider had to shut down the VPS as it went wild taking all the CPU. Blame is firmly on 1.8 as far as I'm concerned, esp. since the server is a bare bones Centos 6.5 with java and Minecraft added and nothing else. That and it has been fine forever, until 1.8 showed up...

Well, 1.8 was too good to be true. Many have been reporting problems with random crashes, server reboots, etc. Started to see reports in early Sept. and now we're getting the symptoms. Specifically the server just cycles - comes online, 5 seconds later crashes (hard, no logs), script restarts, and repeat away... Short answer is I have no idea and most other people have none either (other than appending nogui to the startup line) We will have to wait for an update. Why it took this long to hit us? No idea, perhaps there is something that has been built that is tweaking it out? mayhaps layoff teh redstone shenanigans for the short term until a 1.8.1 or something hits. Or maybe it stays up for awhile now - I have no idea. Did I mention I have no idea? I might have said that. EDIT: Just joined for the first time in forever. The con kept spamming @flitterkill set gamemode survival. Over and over and over and over....

Let's roll with 2 WR instead of 3 and add a WR/RB/TE flex spot. NE Pats Dobson has gone in the span of 24 hours from a "yeah stash him he'll be ascendant later" to "Bellicheck healthy scratch, so drop him forevars..." And naturally, Boilers might want to have some flexibility with that whole AP thing leaning towards not playing this year again...

Still early in the year but dear god was there fantasy doom going around this weekend. Condolences to everyone who got screwed (Ryan Matthews helped keep me afloat the last half of fantasy last year and now he's gone for 5 weeks - sry tbt) I avoided the injury bug but my wide stock, already populated with just 2's and 3's given my penchant for RBs this year, saw two of my three go off for - wait for it - 1.9 points. Marquis Colston, not even targeted once. 110 and a touch last week to not targeted...yeah. This win brought to you by Crabtree (14.20), Dallas Kicker Bailey (19.00) and Aaron Rodgers (28.64) with an assist from my opponent's team with the San Fran defense (2.0) and a wasted Demarco Murray performance (21.30). Special mention to everyone else who under performed for Smokey's Bandits. Nothing from Witten this year and Lacy has at least one more week of rough sledding and then...maybe I can smile.

So, at around 1030am eastern the server got killed by the host due to high cpu load. 25 and climbing. We've got about 1/3 of the actual server resources so when our server decides to flake out it will affect other VPS instances along side us. I caught the alert email and such a little after 1pm eastern, responded to support and they turned us back on. I don't see anything unusual so I'll chalk it up to java/minecraft run amok but peeps will need to keep an eye out for when the server starts to blow. I'd rather be a good neighbor and reboot the server rather than let it crush the server cpu and force the host provider's hands.

Really? Should look at his roster and then consider the news of the day...

From the hilarious league transaction of the day department, Loli dropped Kicker Shane Graham (New Orleans) because they cut him on Saturday - either right before or after our draft. A logical thing to do, dropping him, as one does need a kicker on a fantasy team. Loli dropped him at 2:44pm today I'll just let you look at this here tweet.
