  1. Hah yeah! It messes with my timing though because about the time it comes out, I'll be able to afford to buy a BMW and pick up with European Delivery. I guess I'll have to wait a few years and see what's what.

    im bored

That'll take care of 1 minute of boredom.
  3. The November fights are in Sacramento so I don't think I'll be going. I have a feeling that Monson will be able to submit Sylvia. Hughes better take GSP too!
  4. HAH! or should I say or ... RANDY! Chuck Liddell was drinking a Red Bull--I guess the Xyience contract is just for supplements? I guess all that hardwork pays off...
  5. Moss text messenged me and said he saw me on the pay-per-view. Too bad he couldn't kick it with me but I had a great time none-the-less. Got to meet a lot of the players and behind the scenes people from the owners to the president to the VP level people that we're working with to try to grab them as clients. On the bright side, got to eat a lot of shrimp, chicken, and beek satay washed down with free vodka gimlets! A few photo highlights for those interested in UFC: Me and Dana White, UFC president Me and Big John McCarrthy! Let's get it on!!! Mike "Quick" Swick Vodka gimlets and kickin it with Frank Trigg--a real gentleman Tim "The Maniac" Sylvia's autograph on my second row seats! I was sitting behind the old blonde guy that is the star of "Saw" and beside the CEOs of Tapout, Nate "The ROck" Quarry, and in front of a bunch of other fighters. I got to talk to and give the "fists" to Randy Couture, and I think on my phone or camera I have pix of Jenna Jameson and Tito Ortiz... Bottom line, I'm a little full of miller lite (fight) and vodka gimlets (ufc vip party), and I'll have to got through the rest of the pix tomorrow. Rich Franklin got rocked, but so did I...A great time!!!

    A desert hike

Actually down the road is Spring Mountain Ranch State Park and it has a VERY small body of water on it. Between filtration and tabs, you can drink almost anything. I've not been to the state park yet, but I might try to hit it next weekend or one weekday if I leave before 8 or 9pm. I'll take some pix and post up when I do.

    A desert hike

Ya, it's a beautiful park. I thought I'd be able to hike further, but I didn't bring my water sleeve and I was dieing in the dry air! So I cooled off and took the scenic 13 mile drive around the middle of the park and came home. But I tell ya, hiking 5 miles over rough desert terrain wore me out and made the drive seem even more beautiful!

    A desert hike

Today I went for a hike in the Red Rock Canyon. I brought my GPS and did a little less than 5 miles and was dieing at about 3.8 mph! Anyway, here's a few pix: And on the drive home: And if you're still with me, here's a link to a nothing-special 7mp video clip: http://www.jtkt.com/chief/vegas/red_rock/MOV01007.MPG
  9. So I had pretty good seats for UFC 63 out in Anaheim: And I can prove it's not a PhotoShop job because I'm also on the PPV: I was even sitting next to Duane from American Hot Rod: But when I went to get a beer refill early in the evening I came back and current UFC heavy weight champ Tim "The Maniac" Sylvia is walking buy and I barely got a shot off: It was awesome! Even better, though! I've got ring side seats for UFC 64 for the Franklin - Sylva fight. And I've got tickets to see Feydor Emelyanenko (SP?!?!) fight Mark Coleman in the Pride Fight on October 21!
  10. I've got Hughes to win. I'm 6th row lower plaza, not on the floor. So a few people in front of me. Tix on Ticketmaster for $400, if anyone wants to join. Otherwise I'll see you on payperview! This is actually looking like a GREAT fight card. Too bad Moss can't make it, but there are more good fights coming up in Vegas in October. My bets are on Hughes & Loiseau (but I want Swick) for the two big fights. Who you guys like?

    GRE's anyone

It's been a few years since I took them, but they were very similar to the SAT. If you're good at standardized tests, expect a similar performance by percntile. There is more of the logic games & reading comprehension than the SATs and both of those are easy places to use tactics to speed up your performance. Good luck! Let us know how they shake out.

Back in the olden days there used to be more of this and only using PMs to send sensitive stuff like cell phone #s or addresses. By putting it in the open it would have given people in LA a chance to say, "hey I'm just down the street let's meet at Tequila Panchos" or, "I'm going to the UFC 63 Hughes-Penn fight too." But I comply with lead admins, and try to comply with an evolving community's standards!
  13. Congratulations, good luck, and a happy future to you both!

Can't brag and make people jealous with a private message. But good point, my apologies. EDIT: Would have been easier to fix if you could still delete posts. Now it's just random non-sense, so continue to disregard.
  15. Photo probably came from another chopper in support.
  16. A friend who is an air traffic controller and in the air force reserves called after the first plane hit and said the air force had shot down an air plane (the one that crashed in Penn.) and that stuff was happening. I watched the 2nd plane hit and the towers collapse live as I was waiting to teach classes later in the day. This morning I watched the memorial live commemorating the towers collapsing. When the north tower collapse time came, I got a chill. I said a silent prayer and left for work remembering how that day was 5 years ago.

  19. Sweet, can't wait to be able to watch it. I'm in a cyber cafe and it won't stream fast enough and I don't have sound. Which base were you at? My buddy is over at bagram with the 3rd SF and i've only seen pictures and no video. Glad you're safe and stateside.
  20. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14748549?GT1=8506 I've been waiting for this for a long time. Rediculously skinny models are gross IMO, and I'm happy to hear that fashion will return to reality.
  21. I would have you lay down the quill and read the works of a few other noted wordsmiths. I'd urge you start with the Constitution and follow up with a few pieces of case law regarding property rights. The M rated game you bought entitled you to install the game on your machine--one included feature allows you access to a list of other services available over the internet. You happened to reach a server funded and served by the gamers coalition, which is a community operating a service provided free of charge to the general public but contigent upon your abiding by the rules of the *owners* and enforced by their officers/admins. As an author with a clear mastery of the value of words, you may best be advised to read the rules of servers in the future before you click "ok" and choose to voluntarily enter. Surely your familiarity with the harsh realities of the real world also includes having come into contact with other enforced standards (e.g., dress codes, speeding limits, not talking in class, breaking and entering, et cetera). Congratulations on reaching 22 years old and securing gainful employment as a $20/hour author. Scribes have long been valued, and I wish you continued success. However, having stepped into our home, our personal property, our strict daddy was kind enough to show you the door. Wipe your feet off on the mat, knock, and, acting like a gentleman, you will surely enjoy our hospitality. Otherwise, there is a crack house on the other side of town where you are free to partake in the illicit substance of your choice and enjoy their hospitality. That's property rights, and that's the real world in these United States.
