  1. Anyone else watch this? I think this is the best Drama I have watched. I really like "the Days" this summer but it was only a 6-episode trial run. Jack & Bobby is the story of two brothers growing up with flashforwards to the future where one of them becomes President. The chemistry between the actors is AMAZING and their acting really draws us into the story. This is an amazing series and gets a 95/100 for a TV show from me. Catch it Sunday nights at 9pm EST on the WB.
  2. Barely any music talk here. You guys not like music or something? Music is probably one of the most important things to me (besides family, friends, and girlfriends...well, maybe more important than that last one). 1.) Willie Nelson - Phases and Stages (I loveeee Willie, this is him at his best) 2.) Dungen - Ta Det Lungt 3.) Camper Van Beethoven - Telephone Free Landslide 4.) Gene Clark - No Other
  3. I asked about a year ago... Eddie, man that dude is soooo funny. gawd this show is hilarious
  4. Star Wars Sequels? quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clint in Hollywood : There will be more Star Wars! Posted on Sun, 12-Sep-2004 http://www.moviehole.net/news/4219.html Seems the troops at TheForce.net were right - despite the Lucasfilm defense attack - there is indeed something going on in terms of "Star Wars" sequels. A couple of months back the site heard that Lucasfilm employees had been asked to sign a confidentiality agreement which stipulated that they had to stay zipped about Episodes 7, 8 and 9 - a sequel trilogy that would take place following the events of "Return of the Jedi". Lucasfilm were quick to debunk the claim. This week however I've talked to two very, very reliable insiders - one studio based, another connected to the cast of the original films - who claim that Lucas is indeed going to be doing the three sequels. "They're happening. They're already happening", one said "The three films are all in various stages of development as we speak. They're keeping them quiet for the meantime I believe, but Lucas has four more Star Wars films to deliver to Fox". It's common practice for everyone to keep their mouths shut until its time to officially announce something apparently. A few weeks back it was suggested - on IESB - that the sequels might actually be animated films, which would make sense, but we couldn't confirm that. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Grudge

Supposed American remake of one of the scariest movies Japan as ever seen. Japan name is "JU-ON" and will scare you regardless if you have never been scared by scary movies. http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/thegrudge/site/flash/ Sorry if this is a repost I didn't see a topic made about it =D I'm not seeing it but any of you people who are into scary movies, try checking out the japanese JUON movie(Believe its been out for a while so an import wouldn't be too hard to find).
  6. Any one else watch this last night? I did, I like it too. If you did, what do you think the thing in the forest is?
  7. http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hp&id=1808596906&cf=prev Firefly - coming to the big screen...
  8. New rumors coming up on the net that Mr. Shyamalan is planning an Unbreakable 2 sequel with Bruce Willis once again... From IMDB trivia for unbreakable: "This was originally supposed to be the first of a trilogy, but its subsequent failure at the box office scrapped any plans for a sequel." Wonders if it will be any good.... Shyamalan hasnt done any sequels before. Wonder how he will handle the twists hehe My thoughts is that Shyamalan's movies are getting less good for each movie he makes... Sixth Sense was the BEST, then unbreakable was great, Signs was OK and The Village was.... nah... I dont know... Not as good as any other of his movies... Must admit that a Unbreakable sequel sounds cool tho
  9. http://www.beatallica.com/ This is kinda cool. Beatles mixed with metallica, which spawns such awesome song titles as "Everybodys gotta ticket to ride except for me and my lightning" and "Blackened the USSR". The singer does an amazing Hetfield impression.
  10. he will lose after 74 rounds with 2.5 million dollars
  11. "Doom" the movie The eventual film will resemble the third game which is set in the future at a paramilitary base on Mars, where a scientific experiment goes awry and accidentally opens a portal to hell. The vastly outnumbered hero fights off the forces of hell as they come from the portal onto the deserted base. It will be directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, whos credits include "Exit Wounds" and "Romeo Must Die". From UHM: Game Daily posted an interview with id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead, where he covered the status of the big-screen adaption of th heat video game. Here are snippits from the interview: GD: What is the latest status of the movie? I know the first deal expired after a year. Can you run through the process? Todd Hollenshead: The script is close to final and we're very happy with it. Universal is in the process of casting and pre-production now. With every passing day I become more and more confident that we will see DOOM at movie theaters before the end of next year. GD: What are your hopes and goals in terms of bringing Doom to the big screen? TH: I want to see the movie be true to what the legacy of the DOOM games mean to fans. Scary, intense, lots of action, and consistent with what we've done in the games. However, movies and games are different media, so some things will and should be different. I'm not looking for "DOOM 3: The Movie" and that's not what it will be. The script is not based on the DOOM 3 story, but is based on the DOOM universe, so fans will see plenty in the movie that they will recognize from the game. GD: Do you have a time frame in terms of when you'd like a script completed and when the film might hit theaters? TH: The script is very close to final already. I'll be ecstatic if it's out by the end of next year. But I'm like other fans: the sooner the better!
  12. Ok, they are making a movie based on Frank Miller's Sin City graphic novels (Sin City, The Big Fat Kill, and That Yellow Bastard). From what I have heard, the movie is supposed to look exactly how the books look (from the black and white with color splashes to every small detail) which is freaking awesome if you ask me. If you haven't seen the cast for the movie yet, I highly suggest you check it out because there is an actor/actress for everyone is this movie..definatly one of the biggest if not the best cast ever essembled if you ask me. (I will post the official cast here in a few) Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are co-directing with some help with Quentin Turrentino in certain scenes (he was quoted as saying he has more fun with this movie then any other he's been involved with ). Now what I'm curious about is any pics, movies, - anything that involves this movie. I know that they showed a video clip at Comic-Con this year but Frank Miller wouldn't let anyone film it but I doubt that stopped everyone. I would very much enjoy seeing that clip if anyone knows of ANYWHERE it exists at (I haven't had any luck finding it yet). The only things I have read about it so far is an interview with Rosario Dawson and the actual Comic-Con interview with Dawson, Alba, King, Miller, and Rodriguez. I think this is going to be one of the best comic movies ever made if not the best. It has everything - the stroy, the cast, the director...there is no way this movie will not be the shiznize! Starring Brittany Murphy, Elijah Wood, Carla Gugino, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jaime King, Jessica Alba, Nick Stahl, Benicio Del Toro, Clive Owen, Josh Hartnett, Marley Shelton, Michael Madsen, Alexis Bledel, Michael Clarke Duncan
  13. can't believe no one posted this topic yet. anyway, it was a good movie...worth seeing. Not as good as the first....but worth seeing. The biggest downside to this movie was that they relied on shakey cameras for the fight scenes and loud noises for the scares...and more gory zombies for the grossout factor. Basically they thought "bigger means better" and I'd hafta disagree with them.

    Man On Fire

Very powerful movie. Denzel's best. 9/10
  15. I just got back from the theatre. It was an interesting movie. The plot is really indepth and you have to watch the whole thing to understand, you can't just pickup bit by bit. But yeah the movie surprised me. I was looking forward to it but it didn't impress me as much as i thought it would. my rating (if i'm allowed to rate) 83/100
  16. so so movie, i think i fell alsleep once or twice, It was way to slow, to many extended moments of silence, good plot for a serial killer movie.
  17. For me it was "The Man Who Knew Too Little". I caught it on HBO one time during a free preview weekend. I laughed so hard at it and I'd never heard of it before then. Bill Murray btw. One of his best I think. What movie suprised you the most?
  18. 2 very very good asian films. If you can find a copy of either i def recomend watching these. There are no dubbed versions so you will have to read subtitles but still worth it IF you can find a copy.
  19. I was at Blockbuster, browsing through the movie section and this one caught my eye. I had seen it loooong ago when it was released but had never watched it since. I just finished it a little bit ago. While it is a bit cheesy in some parts the laughs are there and the entertainment is well worth the $1 rental fee. The cast is large -Ben Stiller, William H. Macy, Janeene Garrofolo (sp), Hank Azaria, Geoffrey Rush, Paul Reubens, etc... It was a good watch and lots of fun, even if Garrofolo is a huge lefty activist hehe. I gave it an 82/100
  20. lo, i finally got around to getting a dvd player for my PC, so where's a good place to purchase DVD's online ? im not much on warez but don't want to break the bank either I would buy them local but local stores don't have a big selection. ty
  21. I was searching for an assassin movie a friend told me about from the library here and this title came up in my search. It was not the movie he had talked about but it made me want to watch it again. I reserved it and the next day had it in my hands. I love the library. I had forgotten what how entertaining it was. The acting is good for the most part. Samuel Jackson really shines in it and is good for a few laughs amid the action. Geena Davis has always been a hottie in my mind and she looks great throughout the movie and does a gret job as the dual-personalitiy plagued person. If you are looking for an oldie but a goodie, check it out, you will not regret it. I gave it an 85/100.
  22. I get every new movie here (Afghanistan) bootleg before it comes out. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen. They cost 2.50 and you can see people get up to get popcorn. I always say down in front you gotta do somethings weird to feel at home.
  23. So I have seen this movie at Blockbuster for a few months now. It stars Sean William Scott (American Pies, Bulletproof Monk, The Rundown). I had never heard of it and figured it was a straight-to-DVD movie and would not be that good. I finally picked it up since I have the moviepass and do not have to pay for the rentals anymore. I started watching it with some hesitation as to the quality. Lo and behold, I was amazed. This was a really good movie. It is a heist movie using a "Rave" as cover. The movie is well done, the acting was much better then I had expected and the plot was pretty solid for the most part. There is some good humor, decent action and some very good suspense as the movie heads towards the climax. Scott does a great job, he continues to improve from his first major role in American Pie and I look forward to more good movies from him in the future. The movie also has a very attractive female in Monet Mazur, she has had a bunch of minor roles out there and really shines in this one. This movie get an 87/100, a solid B+. Go rent it for a great watch!
