All Kill3r June 19, 2004 Share All Kill3r Member June 19, 2004 (edited) has he been messin around with any cables inside his PC ? Go back in bios and set the master and slaves to auto-detect after making sure they are plugged in master/slave properly. If they aren't detected still i dont know what to tell ya. If you were able to run a system recover and it error'ed i would give it clean swipe and format it. clear the cmos too, worth a shot although it will reset everything in bios back to stock. That could be a good thing in his case though. Make sure hdd jumpers are set right. If still not detected unplug everything but the cpu/ram/psu and one hard drive and try again. [Mmmm]Homer June 19, 2004 Share [Mmmm]Homer Member June 19, 2004 What Killer said plus: Could try reseating the power connectors to the hard drives. Try a new ribbon cable to the drives. Did the errors start after you/he did something? Or just randomly started?
