Questions from those who are green... half life - portal

Is HL2 and CS2 going to be released at the same time...are they in one package...I'm confused and I dont' feel like digging through the valve website to find info.

They are supposed to be. Just really do not know though.

its not CS 2 its CS:S....same ole CS but with new engine (Source) hence CS:S...

 

Yes, if u buy HL2 u will get CS:S, HL1 based on source and TF source based also, and its all for FREE

You get HL1 Source? Is that a certainty? Will it be available with the release?

 

This past week I have been replaying HL just to get in the right frame of mind for the big release. It is absolutely amazing everything I have forgotten. My son will often tell me what I am spose to do. I find it hard to believe he remembers this stuff but he does.

 

But playing I am reminded of what made HL great. It was the immersion and attention to detail. The 'plot' stinks if you think about it but it was the presentation of the story that was awesome. I just got past the bast pit with the three headed snake like thing. It was a simple model but they made its movement so good. Plus the fact that they incorporated attention to sound. Then the constant banging they make. I can remember the tension I felt the first time I played it.

 

Anyway, I may just not replay the thing if they are going to release a source version. I also have OpFor so I am set
