Supposed American remake of one of the scariest movies Japan as ever seen.

 

Japan name is "JU-ON" and will scare you regardless if you have never been scared by scary movies.

I'm not seeing it but any of you people who are into scary movies, try checking out the japanese JUON movie(Believe its been out for a while so an import wouldn't be too hard to find).

i think i mentioned it in one of my posts somewhere, im a huge fan of japanese films, i have seen the japanese versions so im excited to see how this will turn out.

Hey dennis, you know where i can find the japanese version of the Grudge? It doesnt seem to be on DVD here in America, or VHS for that matter.

now one thing you need to know is region codes. most likely your dvd player will only play american dvds which is a region code 1. asian films are region code 2 and 3. some of the sites offer region code 0 which will play on any dvd player. another thing most of these movies will be subtitle only so i hope you dont mind reading. you can also do mods to your dvd player that will let them play all forms of dvds or you can buy one that does, there are sites out there that can give you more info on that.

Scary movies ain't my thing rly, I'm like a wuss when it comes ot them.

 

I'll take ur word that it is one of the scariest movies. U won't catch me in the movie theatre seeing this unless its with a cute girl who cuddles with me when she is too scared =]

I found 4 different Ju-Ons, The Curse, The Grudge, The Curse 2, and The Grudge 2.

I've been reading that a lot of people think the American version is going to be much scarier than the Japanese. To quote a post from another person on some other forums.

 

 

 

i actually agree with cloud9xtc a lot.

 

i seen the japanese version and it wasn't that scary. i was mostly confused. the story is very broken up and the flow of the movie was seriously distracting the errieness. i spend more time trying to figure what's going on than being scared.

 

i think the american version will be scarier due to better special effects, re-written script that follows the original yet has better flow, better pace for today's audience, and not to mention, sarah michelle gellar.

 

of course im also one of those that thought the american version of The Ring is at leat 20x better than the japanese version.
