Bubblegum Bandit September 24, 2004 Share Bubblegum Bandit Member September 24, 2004 Ok, I did something kinda stupid and I'm hoping there is a way around it. I bought a PCI firewire hub that has an internal 6-pin firewire port. I also bought a little 3.5" bay USB/Firewire hub. But, it seems the front bay hub is meant to be connected to individual pinned connector like you find on a motherboard with built-in firewire host controller. How am I gonna hook these two together? Anybody have any ideas? I've been searching website after website to see if I could find an adapter that would work and haven't been able too. If I need to, I can post some pictures of the two adapters....like I said, the PCI card has a standard 6-pin femail firewire port and the front bay has a flat 6-pin male adapter. Please Help!!!! auggybendoggy September 25, 2004 Share auggybendoggy Member September 25, 2004 thats a drag bandit. That happened with me with a usb hub (bay). I'll see if I can give a look around for an adapter also. I think it's the only way apart of splicing like your suggesting.

Bubblegum Bandit September 25, 2004 Author Share Bubblegum Bandit Member September 25, 2004 It has pins for two front usb2.0 ports, but none for the firewire ports. I guess I should have paid more attention to the products I bought... I have a PCI firewire hub to put in, but I want to have a front port so that I can easily hook up my camcorder for capturing without pulling my box out and connecting.
