Now that HL2 is out, is there a chance that the new maps could be coming soon?

That would be cool. Why dont we ever play the map, i think its havana maybe,its the other hostage map with the street entrance in the back?

Word from Valve was December. THey hinted it and hoped for it but not necessarily positive.

 

btw, the SDK fully comes out next week along with a "Surprise" by valve. Probably HL2 deathmatch.

the source SDK is out, but the HL2 SDK is coming out next week as ZD said.

i was playing CS 1.5 the other day at school and my buddies made a map of our college (just the wing that we work in) and it was so awesome. The ct's start off in teh 3rd Computer Engineering Lab where they get a free Ak-47 (cuz the guy who mapped it is in the Comp Eng program). The terrorists start off in the 3rd year Telecommunications lab.

 

Also in our school we have a room called Re-Call (Re-callibration) where we go to get stuff we need to build circuits and what not (resistors, caps you name it they have it). hah in the map they made that place an armoury where you can get any gun you want... Ahh good times.
