auggybendoggy April 2, 2005 Share auggybendoggy Member April 2, 2005 Has anyone used a Thawte cert. I installed one but when I apply the encryption is says the person I am sending it to does not have a cert. What do I have to do to make the other end readable? It's much like PGP but it seems a bit easier. I think I have to export a cert and then instruct the recepient to install the cert and then we can email back and forth. If anyone knows anything please share. Sinc, auggy

dwEEziL April 5, 2005 Share dwEEziL Member April 5, 2005 Thawte typically does web certs for https traffic. Usually, it is for authentication as well as encryption. This means, the other person has to add/install the cert to in their browser. Usually, when they browse to your https-enabled site, they will be prompted to add/install the cert. After that, the next time they browse to your site, they should be able to go right in.
