linch April 11, 2005 Share linch Member April 11, 2005 Hey folks. I'm attempting to install Steam/CS on my laptop. I downloaded the steam application, and then logged in and picked the games I wanted to download (half life 2), however it asks me for a cd key. I purchased half-life2, and cs:s online. How do I go about getting my cdkey? (if it was sent via email, that email is long gone). Has anyone gone through this?

Now I just have a quick follow up question. Do I have to connect to steam (ie have internet connection) to play half life 2 single player?
VooDooPC April 12, 2005 Share VooDooPC Member April 12, 2005 You can play HL2 offline but i THINK, i'm not sure, that you need an internet connection the first time you try to play it.
