GC as a whole is thinking of moving game service providers. we want to make sure we've got the best of the best. the west server has the option to stay put, or go along to the new provider. i don't want to make a decision for you, so please post your test results and overall opinion here. to make the decision easier, aim2game has put up a test server for us. please take 10 minutes for each server, test, pay attention to choke and ping, and post back you results. avengence August 3, 2005 Share avengence Member August 3, 2005 I didnt notice any choke at all, or any spikes. The only time i saw choke was on spawn and it was only for a few secconds, and the highest i saw it was anywhere from about 5-9. stutters August 4, 2005 Author Share stutters GC Alumni August 4, 2005 ran ping plot for a full day while at work san jose: avg ping 14, 11 hops, minimal packet loss la: avg ping 27, 12 hops, no packet loss the san jose server isn't bad, but i like the linux and 100tic of the la server. la/a2g gets my vote.
