SUPERLAG September 10, 2005 Share SUPERLAG Member September 10, 2005 Ever since I added the old version of direct X to my game (supposedly runs better) , I have to manually go into video options and choose the larger screen size instead of 600X800 er whatever it is every time I start CS
stutters September 10, 2005 Share stutters GC Alumni September 10, 2005 try setting each video setting one at a time, clicking apply after each change. once you're done making all changes, quit CS, relaunch it, and keep your fingers crossed. JackieChan September 10, 2005 Share JackieChan GC Alumni September 10, 2005 What about your config file? Does that contain the resolution settings? I'm not sure because I either don't look in there, or I'm too lazy to do it now.
mookie September 10, 2005 Share mookie GC Alumni September 10, 2005 Just go into the launch options for the game in Steam and add a switch for width and height. For example my launch options look like this: "-dxlevel 81 -w 1280 -h 1024" I think you can also put "-windowed" to run in a window. I used to have this same problem and this seems to solve it most of the time.

I opted not to go with the windowed mode though, it made my cursor register lower than normal for some reason. I now have: -dxlevel 81 -w 1024 -h 768 works like a charm
