Bubblegum Bandit

This is the same image that I posted in the chit chat forums. Thought I would go into a little more detail for you here.

Camera set to manual with the following settings so that each image would be somewhat the same:

Nikon D70 - f/11.0 - focal length=70mm - shutter speed=1/500 - WB = -2

I started messing around with manually stitching them in Photoshop and got frustrated. I had some software that a friend had loaned me to try out just for this type of application and this was the first chance I had to use it. It is AWESOME. Called RealViz Stitcher. I imported the 6 images I had raw and clicked stitch. After about 20 seconds of processing a panny came up with all pictures stretched and skewed to fit perfectly. Hit the render button and set a couple of settings (file name, crop, etc) told it to render. It not only lined the images up, it lightened/darkened each image so they seam pretty much perfectly. I purposely shot with the white balance low so that I didn't get any white out effects from the snow. So after it was rendered I took it into photoshop and lightened it a little. I think the finished product is rather amazing.....
