I can remember watching the Twins play their second world series when I was a little kid, he was always one of my favorite players. Even though I don't follow the sport as much as I used to I was still saddened to hear of his passing. If there's one player I never forget from back then it's him.

 

He was a great player of the game. He will be missed.

Kirby Pucket passes away at age 45

I was greatly saddened to hear that he had passed. Say what you might about troubles he had after he retired, but he was one of the most loved baseball players of his time. Almost every player in the league held him in esteem and his praise can be heard all around baseball. Growing up in the Twin Cities, I loved baseball, the Twins (still do!), and the Puck was my favorite player. Talk about doing it all in the 91 series (best world series of all time). Puck will be missed.
