Woohoo, bought a new monitor

As a pretty avid gamer I've been somewhat hesitant about purchasing a LCD monitor until recently, when I noticed an ad in the sunday paper from Best Buy for the new LG monitors. The one that caught my eye was a 20.1" widescreen LCD monitor from LG with a native resolution of 1680x1050, 8ms response time, and a 1400:1 contrast ratio. Having thought about it for oh, maybe 10 minutes, I decide to purchase the monitor, and wow, am I happy! Just ran the CS Source demo and am still getting respectable frame rates at 1680x1050 res so everything looks in order. You can check out the product at:

It's fairly cheap too, coming in at just $500. Definitely worth it IMO.

I've had a 17" Samsung LCD for a while now. Makes the CRTs on the other computers in the house look blurry. Any further monitors will definately be LCDs unless I get em for free.

I should have my Viewsonic 20.1 Inch Widescreen tomorrow or the next day. A highlight to my horrible week. Plus, I got my new Mini DV camcorder for the wife. Very small.
