He's not the first to invert an RC helicopter. I watched excerpts of a televised presentation of a competition in the states a year or so ago and saw the inversion of a remote heli. Nonetheless it's still amazing.

They've been flying inverted for years and years.

 

I believe the "first" is an auto-invert, i.e. flipping a switching on the controller and the heli just doing it, and I may not even be right about that. It's toward the end of the video where text pops up.

Ahh, that makes sense. I didn't twig to the auto-invert actually being a switch on the controller. Thanks for the clarification.
