Recent changes and difficulties

Hello everyone,

 

With the update recently and the server move and everything else the server's running a bit different than we're all used to. We wanted to let everyone know that we are working on the server to get it back running the way we love.

 

Unfortunately after the update we lost our admin mod. This means that for the short term we won't have weapon restrictions, time based rotations or other features. This means that for the time being, scopeless isn't always scopeless.

 

Please, if someone starts to use a scoped weapon, don't hassle them about it. Also don't threaten them either, or post in the Got Banned forums about this. You can ask them not to buy it but we don't want to chase off players just because they felt harrased. That said it is impressive to see everyone using no-scoped weapons when we come in though!

 

 

The admin mod problem also means that for the time being our map rotation will be shorter than usual and admins wont' have all the custom maps to choose from.

 

The update also has caused problems with some custom maps. Certain custom maps will actually crash the server where they used to work before. We're working to test our large number of custom maps but this will take time. We'll try to make it possible for admins to bring up maps after we've tested them to get some of the variety back into the server but this won't happen overnight.

 

Lastly, we'd like to ask for your patience as we work to get these difficulties worked through.

I think this may need to be reiterated seeing as there have been 3 posts requestion people be banned for buying scoped weapons after this post was done.

 

Buying SCOPED weapons is NOT a reason for a ban request! Without the server enforcing the weapon restrictions we will NOT ban someone for using a scoped weapon if an admin isn't on specifically using scoped weapons.
