Motorcycle question

my friend wants to sell me his 1996 Virago with 7,000 miles on it for $2,000. Good deal or no? It's White with Red stripes and looks like it's in amazing condition.

I don't know much about motorycles, but I've seen enough to know that $2,000 is too low.

also keep in mind that the bike is in perfect working conditions. I've known both of the previous 2 owners personally for most of my life and they've had the bike for a total of 5 years.

Need more details about the bike to actually tell if thats a good price or not but just for comparison check these bikes out.

Price will depend on the CC as you can tell by the bikes above along with extra features and so forth.

it's an 1100 like the first one you posted.

so considering I've known both of the previous owners and know what the bike has been through for the last 5 years...I definitely think it's a good deal.

now I just have to scrounge up $2,000

no...but I would never drive a motorcycle before I get one.

actually I plan on attending one of those classes that teach you how to drive a motorcycle properly.

Seems about right, I have looked at newer ones, 02 and 03 models, and they sell anyweher from $2800 - $4000 with about 3k-5k miles. Those bikes dont hold there value well, but they do look nice.

 

if you have not rode before look into the MSF classes, you will learn alot and it may even save your life.
