YoMamma November 21, 2006 Share YoMamma Member November 21, 2006 You should know that the Wii has a blue light around the disc bay. So, the question I have is: When is that light supposed to be on? Mine only goes on for a split second when I insert a disc and then it turns off again. Is my light broken?

Though I think when it flashes when you put a disc in it's because the Wii's off.
EbilDustBunny November 27, 2006 Share EbilDustBunny GC Alumni November 27, 2006 (edited) it's not suppose to stay on during game play Disc slot light The Disc slot light illuminates briefly when: * The Wii console is turned on. * WiiConnect 24 is turned on and you are receiving new data, such as messages, and you have selected "Bright" or "Dim" in the "Slot Illumination" settings for WiiConnect24. The Disc slot light does not stay illuminated during game play or using other features of the Wii console.
