I'm learning linux and would like to not mess with my HDD that has all my school/XP Pro/Games/Pics on it.

Looking at a somewhat small IDE HDD. To put Linux and XP on it. Practice Partitioning and all that fun stuff.

Whadda got?!

I'm not sure my price range or size. I'm just looking for a spare HDD that I can get for cheap. rather than buy a new one.

looked around, could only find 2.

20gb Hitachi (unsure of speed, probably 5400)

76gb IBM Deskstar 7200rpm (also known as the "Deathstar" because they had a tendency to go kaput after about a year...this one has outlasted that point easy)

$20 for both of em (shipped) be good? You can even pay me after you verify that they work.

I'd say $20 for 96gigs is good price.

Can I blow up planets with that HDD if I put it into my tower?

PM sent.
