ZesteR July 15, 2007 Share ZesteR Member July 15, 2007 (edited) I'm learning linux and would like to not mess with my HDD that has all my school/XP Pro/Games/Pics on it. Looking at a somewhat small IDE HDD. To put Linux and XP on it. Practice Partitioning and all that fun stuff. Whadda got?! I'm not sure my price range or size. I'm just looking for a spare HDD that I can get for cheap. rather than buy a new one. Edited July 15, 2007 by ZesteR

ZesteR July 15, 2007 Author Share ZesteR Member July 15, 2007 Thanks for the links! That last one sounds like it'll work, even though 2MB buffer, lawl. I don't mind a used one either
Playaa July 17, 2007 Share Playaa Member July 17, 2007 don't guess you still want any eh? I have 3 or 4 old drives sitting around the house (if I can find em) ranging from 36gb to 80gb.

Playaa July 20, 2007 Share Playaa Member July 20, 2007 (edited) looked around, could only find 2. 20gb Hitachi (unsure of speed, probably 5400) 76gb IBM Deskstar 7200rpm (also known as the "Deathstar" because they had a tendency to go kaput after about a year...this one has outlasted that point easy) $20 for both of em (shipped) be good? You can even pay me after you verify that they work. I'd say $20 for 96gigs is good price. Edited July 20, 2007 by Playaa/Pselus
