If none of you ever used a pc for gaming, what sort of computers would you want to have in your life? Personally, I'd want a mid-level laptop for every day use, and I'd want a Media PC of some sort to hook up to my television. What I'm really asking about is what sort of spec's you'd want though. bushwack October 31, 2008 Share bushwack Member October 31, 2008 Wow I dunno. My wife watches a lot of TV and movies and she's perfectly happy with a 2yr old laptop on the couch. It's got a 1.8 Sempron, 1gb ram, integrated grafix. Surfs the web great and plays movies off of Netflix with no issues. I guess that would do for me. I would guess that 512 megs of ram would be more than sufficient, as would any cpu in the last 5 - 7 years. Any video card from the same period would be more than adequate. dragonfly October 31, 2008 Share dragonfly Member October 31, 2008 Well, since I record music, I'd get a desktop still, but instead of $$$ to the gpu I'd put it more toward the sound card.
