Preacher December 19, 2008 Share Preacher Member December 19, 2008 I'm not sure why it hasn't come up before, I noticed it about a year ago, but I used to animate my wallpaper to be silly, from time to time. I just tried to do it and the wallpaper doesn't animate. I've tried with a few different images and it doesn't work in the windows folders either. I have everything set for best appearance in windows so I'm not sure how to fix this. Anyone have a suggestion?
anonymo December 19, 2008 Share anonymo Member December 19, 2008 From a little bit of research it appears that MS took out the ability to animate .gifs as your wallpaper. http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/1524...wallpapers.html Other sites of interest http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/lofiversio...php?t10283.html http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=30618 As far as I can tell it seems MS removed the active desktop and replaced it with the DreamScene tools in Vista. I probably just saved your family from having to see some silly Santa Claus gif in the background throughout the holidays.
