Xterminator September 18, 2003 Share Xterminator Member September 18, 2003 my problem is when i turn on my comp. there's no steam icon running in the bottom right. So i double clip the desktop icon and it says i already have a copy of steam running. So i still can't get in.

dwEEziL September 18, 2003 Share dwEEziL Member September 18, 2003 X, if that is the case (and if you are using Windows 2000 or XP) hit Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager, click on the Processes tab, select "Steam.exe", anc click to end the process (saying yes or OK to any dialog box that pops up). I meant to mention that in my post. Happens to me all the time. If you are running any version of Windows NT then you can hit ctrl shift esc to fix it.
