An acquaintence of someone in the community, dunno how good, but there was plenty of log hits coming from this guy (even after the VAC bans), and the "john" name kept coming up. Thus, the "Dear John" letter goodbye.

2 of those got VACed in an hour or so, and are worthless. The others are clean up, although prolly futile since he prolly has a key gen. The IP ban should have gotten him for a while. Although not necessarily.

 

I'm not even sure the term "Dear John letter" is used anymore, so some of the humor may be lost. I know there was a show, maybe late 80's-early 90's called Dear John on NBC, but doubt that really kept the expression alive. Dunno. If you don't know it, go ask your parents. They're certain to.

Yeah, I remember that show, Judd Hirsch, played "John". For the others, Judd Hirsch played "Alex Rieger" on the late '70's TV show "Taxi" and more recently as Jeff Goldblum's father in the movie "Independence Day".
