There is nothing better in gaming than playing a team game and playing as a team. There is nothing worse in gaming than playing a team game with people who have no interest in playing as a team. Is there a benefit to usb headsets other than convenience? I've never even considered them because I have the available jacks through my speakeres and sound card. I assumed anything USB would automatically use more cpu than the sound card so I stayed away... Am I incorrect on this one? BTW, the Sennheiser's are awesome if you ever need to return the 5.1 mondo headset of doom.

I was going to suggest changing the screenshot key to something off the F list, but I guess you don't need that.

Just got back home. Time to start working on the controllers and reinstalls... At least I was smart enough to save my game profiles. THat should remove an hour or so of configing.

I'll be out of commision today. I got a Razer Diamondback mouse as a gift (way cool! 1600dpi and on the fly mouse sensitivity changing rocks so hard), and it had a rather tricky install. I had to uninstall my flight controller drivers in order to get the mouse to work correctly. Now I have to uninstall everything and go through a pretty intensive install order to get both of the devices to work on the machine properly... Peripheral conflicts are a total pain.

One of my best friends is named Lancaster. Most people call her Lanie, so I voted for the Elena option... I think Lancaster is an awesome name though, so I shy away from Lanie as much as possible.

Good gravy, I hope not. I'd at least like to be avoiding those 5 deaths in a row streaks of mine if I have a case of teh h4x... Apparently that first problem was an outdated driver. I fixed that baby up okay for now. That CSS thing though is weird. I'm gonna try removing that file from the game folder and seeing what happens.

This last update has really messed things up for me. I was playing HL2 and CSS without a hitch yesterday. Today is a different story. Now, when I try to play HL2, I get this The instruction at "XXXXXXXXXXXX" referenced memory at "XXXXXXXXXXXX". The memory could not be "read". So I tried CSS to see how that ran. I played a map and a half just fine, then got disconnected when the third map started to load. I couldn't condump or screenshot the error for some reason, but was able to copy/paste. Was just doing a touch of control setup work for PF (I moved that darn eject button far far away from the fire buttons). I can't say I won't do a lot of crashing, but I'm ready to give this a try when you guys are.

So I'm looking to upgrade the computer speakers to something good. My computer has become my DVD player and stereo of choice. It's about time the speakers were able to exhibit the performance the rest of the setup can put out. Does anyone have a link or two to some good reviews of PC speaker systems? Looking for something in the Dolby 5.1 channel range with rich, very clean sound. My Sennheiser headphones rock my noodle, but those hombres don't make speaker systems. Links to reviews or review sites would be great. Personal suggestions would also rock.

I'm ready to try when the others are. Still learning this joystick profile though. Earlier, I managed to get behind and above a bomber, slow to a good speed, ease into a decent, set up the crosshairs for a slight lead on the bomber, and then ever so gently..... squeeze the eject button. You fellas would ban me from every corner of the internet if you'd heard the things my neighbors probably heard coming from my apartment.
