go to DSL Reports and click on speed tests. this will tell you what your DL/UL speeds are and then you can check out the rest for tweeking your settings.

I'm all for dumping Gallerea and dust. I like assult but i can just put it next map whenever i want so if others don't want it in the rotation that's fine with me. Assult takes a skilled group of snipers to make CT's come up on top.

yeah i would sugest the same. buy a RJ-45 cable and conect it to your router. and make sure that the other computers that are on your wireless network are not on somthing like napster that will constantly drag down your bandwith. Another problem could be that thu did'nt encrypt your wirless network and you have some Bandwith leaches near by(wireless won't stop at your wall) Wireless is a cool idea (I have a wireless router that i'm not using) but when playing a game that decides life or death in miliseconds i'll run the cable. most motherboards and wireless routers have the RJ-45 jacks so give it a try.

Just stop telling them and run up and knife them. If you have to die 5 times to get that "Man that was COOL!!!" moment it's still worth it. This is a game and stats just makes it a job Have fun.

find a better place for your binds. first off the last weapon key is what makes it look like they are unscoping. I move with e=forward, d=back, f=right, s=back, well that leaves your pinky open for a=lastweapon. so you shoot and hit a twice realfast and then get ready for the next shot. I have a 5 button mouse too so my thumb button is scope which makes it easy to scope and fire fast. tweek things so that they are close at hand and put the stuff that are not crucial to survival where you can get to them but it requires effort.

I don't change maps just set nextmap.

John: Please leave the map vote out, you get in the mood for certian maps that some people don't know, then the map vote pops up and the newbs pick dust. We have an admin on most of the time now and i'm not sure about the others but i'll ask for sugestions and build a vote or say "ok we'll do this map then that next" but maps like contra, cpl_fire, thematrix, and 3rd street, are great maps and people love them but don't know their name. Bullet: people used to say that i lagged too much to hit and it really tinkled me off. I people to just be mad without reason when i kill them so i started tweeking on stuff people told me about and it fixed it. so try this in your console. cl_updaterate "101" cl_cmdrate "100.000000" also check if your getting loss and choke with cl_netgraph 3 or maybe it's net_graph 3 but either way you should be able to ask in game and get the answer.

this is off topic but could we find a good version of iceworld? the one on the server is like iceworld:source i think and it spawns people in the same spot which sucks for the people that get insta killed each round. and the buy timer is too low so you can't buy stuff after you kill the other team unless you wipe them real fast. iceworld has allways been a nice map to toss in once a week cause it's mindless killing.

Stop trying to ditch the matrix John. Other than that i like all the ones Laz named and the new assult. Another question i have is why don't some maps come up on mani? like a map being in the set next map section but not being abour to create a vote on it or add it to a multi map vote list. P.S. Does anyone know the command line to do a random question vote? ie. "Do you guys want to play a custom map?'

I did'nt want to get in this cause i don't like drama, but i'll post my point of experiences with SGC. First off i like playing with most of the members cause they are quite skilled and that makes the game chalenging. I have got into it with Gambit in the past as well as some other SGC members about unballanced teams. The reason i ask people to switch to the other team is not to split up SGC, like i've talked to Nightcrawler about, It's beacuse it sucks for a good map to get over at 7-0 when if we could just switch the teams up a bit and puit the top 1 or 2 players on the other side and get another 10 rounds out of the map. No one can say that i don't switch to the losing team to try to turn the tide. Just beacuse things sound nice and end in a Please dos'nt allways make it a request. PS: if i was on during that event that Mloki posted i would have warned or even baned derik for the comment. I may not be nice but none can call me unfair. The one thing that you expect is Uniform Justice.

I don't care about half of the rules that we have to follow here but I still follow them because others do care. The ones that seam tedious and strict lay the foundation for the rules that I do care about. Cursing don't bother me one bit (I’m a drunken sailor from New Orleans go figure). But if you can't exercise enough self control not to type profanities that make other players uncomfortable or say something that some kid may read as his mother's looking over his shoulder and get his internet privileges canxed then your probably going to get mad and intentionally TK or constantly talk trash to someone who's having a bad night and make the game that much more worse. We all have off days, bad pings, or who know why the M4 opened up at 2 feet would miss. I like to have fun when I play, not get in heated debates about random meaningless BS or have to hear two people arguing about religious preference over the mic while I’m trying to sneak up and knife some guy that happened to be looking the wrong way when I rounded the corner. GC servers have a high skill competition level without the internet rebel’s trying to act tough. This is the cause I believe in and why I joined GC. You're not going to walk up to a cop and light up a joint and get away with it so why think that you can come to our server and think you have the right to break the rules? I don't want to Ban anyone it distracts me from my game play, but I don't want to be on a server that all the people that present a challenge left cause some guy ruined their mood. And really owning noobs gives a great score that means nothing compared to killing hollywood, gambit, whitey, thanatos, hizzigh, derik, freeman, tiglah and many other of the regulars who are great at this game.

Great job to the CT team but the fact that that the time was set so low realy put a damper on the T's. I think the time was like 1:45 which gave no time for a delayed rush, so get caught in the tunnell and it's over before you have a chance to pick off enuff to break through. Just some things to look in to before WW4.

LoL here's where age shows. I'm 31 and i strated back with Atari. i've played too many games to mention. I've had nintendo, super nes, sega, sega genisis, Playstation, PS2, Xbox, and computer games. RPG's i've done EQ for like 4 years, WoW since last christmas. but the fun has allways been computer FPS's. Ghost recon, Metal of Honor, Acion Quake 2, and CS. Fav FPS ever has to still be Action Quake 2 - this game was what got me hooked on FPS. It had the ak, m4 sniper, Mp5, a sawed off shotty, and and a set of 10 throwing knives to chose from. for accesories you had kevlar, silent slippers, laser scope, night vision, and maybe a few others. You could only have one weapon and 1 accesory. you had to drop one to pick up another. the great thing is you had to bandage after being shot or falling. fall for dammage you would limp, shot you will lose 1hp per second from bleeding. it took 5 sec's to bandage and once bandaging started you could not shoot for the full 5 seconds so you had to chose when to bandage carefully. also back then you could snipe on the move and you would jump while strafeing back and forth to make a harder target hence where the "Bunny Sniper" term came from.

I'd rather use a pine cone for toiletpaper than to get caught with an autosnipe in my hands. if i buy one on acident i'll drop it at the spawn. AWP actually does take some skill. Takes some conditioning to time your stop and fire in that order with a milisecond between. Scout is the old school "Bunny Sniper" weapon. it gives alot more mobility to the sniper in the rush. What would i like my teamates to have? That's not for me to answer, I'l like them to have the weapon they are most proficent in using in their hands. AWP in some hands is deadly but in others it's a free gun that they are just holding for whoever sees them first. I know a guy that can AK snipe like mad but puting an AWP in his hands is like TKing him at the spawn.

Bind a key for it. i use the \ key if ya don't know go to the console and type bind \ "admin" and every time you hit the key then the menue pops up. i'd still like to know the command to enable all weapons if anyone knows. ma_????

Ok here's what i've learned. I only use the menu to change the next map cause it's easier than remembering all the map names and spellings. You can innitiate almost any command in the chat without going to console. just push Y then @ma_ban 0 fatty or @ma_rcon mp_timelimit 1 or @ma_unfreeze stuttering.john If you want to talk to a player hit Y then @@ fatty hey man i still have that rash you may want to see a doctor. you can also do this by server id if your having a hard time with the special charecters in their name @@ 2472 Last chance i'm going to burn you if you don't stop camping your spawn and help your team with the objectives. I'd like to know the command to allow all weapons again, I did a knife round for fun and it took me 3 rounds to reactivate all the weapons manualy.

They can come and play and have FUN without politics. Play by the rules and you'll never have these problems. P.S. I would have banned you both...
