Yeah I saw that immutable was gone, kinda made me sad. I kinda thought tWc might have been dead as of late. But with Whitey back and me on the horizon, we might just ressurect.

Really? There is no way I can run it from the PC I'm playing on? I got a PC I can run it off of but its rather inconvenient. Usually we hold the lan party after class at the school, and needing a spare PC would mean everyone would have to pack up all of their stuff, go to my house and setup, before we could even play. Plus the server PC would be my family PC, and my family couldn't use it as we played. Thanks for the info guys, In the next few weeks ill setup the whole thing on my home PC (providing theres no other way to do it). Ill return of I hit any roadblocks.

Hey guys long time no see...well for those of you who actually know me. Anyways me and my college buddies(tech school) all get together and hold a small lan party every thursday. For some time now we have been playing this strategy game called dawn of war... its fun...but we've had enough of strategy games for now. Anyways a bunch of the guys are interested in moving over to Counterstrike. Now normally I would just have us all play on the GC server, BUT... 1. We want it to be just our small group for some games 2. We have no place where we can all be in the same room and share a good solid connection over the net to play on GC. Anyways the whole point of this topic is that Im having trouble setting up this Lan party. I was able to create a Lan game they could play, but the lag was horrid, and we had no control over game settings such as, map rotation, prices, bots, etc... Ive looked online for guides on setting one up and I have found several, but they all go about it different ways, and many of them don't even go over the whole issue of game settings. So I was wondering if any of you could help me in getting this all working right...do I need to download some admin tools...do we all need to set up our IP addresses...do we need a windows workgroup? Like I said we have been doing lan partys on dawn of war, so i got all the equipment, so heres the specs. (we all have the same laptop models, they are mandatory at our school) Windows XP: Professional Counterstrike: Source Linksys 8 port 10/100/1000 Ethernet switch model#: EG008W version 3 Several cat6 Ethernet cables. Some of you may be wondering what ever happened to me. Well the Videogame industry is extremely demanding, and to tell you the truth I have had to give up on a majority of my video gaming to focus in on school, and building my career. I haven't forgotten Counterstrike, and I plan on returning sometime in the near future. I graduate on February 22nd 2008, from there I will probably go work with THQ, being in all that my uncle is their Head of Global Development, and their hiring big time here in phoenix AZ. A few months after I graduate and settle into a steady life I plan on returning to Counterstrike and Clan TWC.

Doubt its possible with the current toolset, but Id like to see an adaptive timer, changing per map and how many players are on. A full 25 man game on port will need way more time then a 5 on 5 in office...

Oh man! I wish I caught a better screenshot of this, I got it JUST after it happend like a second late, the F5 key is hard to find fast. If you cant tell Kingele killed Warz with a flashbang, However the flashbang weapon icon is so big it spills over into the DNA kill. Also its all white because of a flashbang, man wahts up with the flashbangs there becoming too commen, people these days feel they cant kill opponents who can see so they throw flashbangs. Playing is turning into the firstg 30 seconds of the map is blindness from EVERYONE throwing flashbangs, then the real game starts. Id KILL for a better screeny but im slow on the draw.....truely though a rare catch.

Well im glad this all got resolved! Lol just found out about it, I always thought of spacelord as a pretty lax guy, and I was at first thinkin no way. But then again I dont have a TON of time spent with him and hes still new to TWC so yeah, we all have our bad days. I can compleatly understand though Space about the blocking thing. I could see myself doing something foolish in that situation. Blocking for me is a BIG pet peve, I HATE BLOCKING GRRR! I hate it with a flaming passion. If I was having a bad night and I kept getting blocked then I thought someone was purpously blocking me or simply not caring I might shoot em! Im not justifying it, but im glad he said sorry and everything has been worked out. Typically If Im getting frusterated I just quit the game.

Gravity extends in all directions for infinity. To reach absolute zero there would have to be no matter in existance, Then again if you have no matter then the temperature is N/A not Zero, since theres nothing to mesure. If you only had the matter to be reaching zero in existance, each atom creates its own gravity, so all the atoms in that matter are pulling on eachother via gravity. Anonymo hit it right on the head. Reaching zero would be the absence of matter, and then id be nothing anyhow. Zero in this instance is exatly what the name implies. Nothing. As for this no, energy in = energy out, always, Getting more energy out then in would break more physics laws then reaching absolute zero lol. There is a source of energy, scientest just cant figure out what it is. I could see if you got more energy out then in, it could be a power source, but thats simply not the case, that energy is comming from some source. But as it stands its impractical at that, and if you tried to use it to generate power you would probably find that it would stop working in some timefram because wherever that extra energy is comming from would get used up.

I would have put this in the mods section but the last post there is feb 10th and it seems kinda stale and I need an answer as soon as possible. If this is a problem please gimmy a slap on the wrist and delete or teleport this topic. Anyways I installed casey's config awhile ago, edited it to my liking, and now I got an issue, I am working with Forz on map making and I need to max out my graphics, FPS is not a concern at all, I just need the highest settings possible. I set in options all the settings at max but I notice some of the things from Caseys config persist, dispite removing caseys config from the corrct folder. Caseys config sets things in the console for you at the begginging, and im guessing many of the things once changed stay changed untill changed back. So my question is how do I undo the changes. If I reinstall, when i go to play a real game of CSS with caseys config it will set it back and ill have to reinstall everytime I need to test a map. Am i just going to have to make an ANTICasey's config?

Physics FTW! Im a physics nut and I can assure you reaching absolute Zero is impossible for a unnerving number of reasons. Infact its so unnerving that if you wanted to really look into it you'd see your actualy up against not only physics but theory, philsophy, and quantum mechanics... We have gottten close to reaching Zero, infact they found a 5th state of matter, Gas, Liquid, Solid, Plasma, and now, Bose-Einstein condensate, Its created near absolute zero. Heres a link to an article To give you an idea of how theory plays in get this, to reach absolute zero there would be need to be no light, no sound, no movement, no energy of any kind, not even potential, so it would have to be in zero gravity also. (which doesnt exist since gravity expands out for infinity) The very act of mesuring the temperature of the substance gives energy so even if you reached absolute zero you couldent tell. Talk about the invisible boy who can only be invisible when no ones looking. SO you could get into the whole debate of does a tree make a sound when it falls if no one is there to hear it. Does the object reach absolute zero if no oneknows it reaches it? Then you break into the philosophy of existance being based on knowlege, and just gha. Theres alot. I can asure you absolute zero will NEVER happen.

Too late lol, I was playing today and a good 9 T's out of the 11 T's were the new model, and thats counting myself using the classic skin. It looked pretty funny.

As the server currently stands when you get TKed you have 2 choices, slap to 80% hp, or forgive. Problem is with this, is that slapping the player does not give you back what you lost and worse slapping them only subtracts from your already one player short team. I have seen on other servers and I know we can do it, is to take cash from the player that TKed you. Not only does this pay back the player for his lost equipment when TKed, but It keeps the cash on your teams side so your not making things even worse. As for beacon, drugging, and setting people on fire, its a problem because people come on the server and start messing around and it causes issues, so lets not get stuck on that topic, besides all of those once again subtract from your team and give nothing back to the TKed player, same issue. So come on and give us your opinion, Yes or No, and lets see if we can get this added to our server permanently.

DUDE EBIL! YOU FRIGGEN ROCK! This list is like 100000% DEAD ON what I listen to! Man thats so friggen cool! All I gotta say is you hit the nail on the head for what I listen to.

Lol actually very little I got into magic thinking it was great only to be dissapointed. Most magic, probably a good 95%, involves fake props, nothing you can do on the street out of nowhere, you have to go out with the intention of magic in mind and have your prop on hand. PLUS you have to buy the fake props. I personally felt very....cheap, buying the props and using them was fun n all, but it just felt unclever, I didnt quite feel accomplished so much as I feel like I bought a a fake prop and used it as intended, lol. So I retired my magic career before it ever got off. The other half of magic, slight of hand n all requires HOURS AND HOURS of practicing usually mundane and difficult moves. Such as throwing an orange into a jacket pocket from a foot away. 15 oranges and a soggy orange juice stained shirt later, and still it hasent gone in once, you dont feel to magical. Or training a bird to fly up your sleeve and into your pocket, uh yeah, not gonna even try. So I did learn some of the RARE no prop slights of hand that dont require stupid ammounts of practice. I can do a french drop with any change, thats nice. Basically Its faking handing an object from one hand to another but actually you keep it in the first hand. I can almaost do it with a quarter flawlessly. I can do 3 variations on where you have the audience member pick a card and you find it in the deck. I can do fake deck shuffling, where you "shuffle" the deck but it remains in reletivly the same order. I can "bounce" a breadroll on the floor. I had a good 4 or more but I cant remember em. And thats about it, and I got a good 12 prop tricks under my belt, but I dispise them. However all my diving into magic and practicing moves that I never got all the way to learning has gotten me very adept at spotting magic and knowing what happend. Instead I took up Juggling and Contact Juggling to feed my inner Carny, and I love it.

Trixy stuff. Obviously their are wires involved. There are harnesses that you can go under your cloths that strap on real tight like and the wires go from their, their super thin and super strong, made specifically for this kindof thing. He has to go real slow like or one might snap and that would look hilarious. He has pulleys off to the side on objects out of view, like the tops of telephone polls. One of the spectaters gives the signal via radios or somthin for both teams to pull. The levitate backbend with feet on ground is somethins special but I know their is a rod attached to his back that sits flat on his back when he stands and has hinges at the top so when he bends backwords it swings out, its gotta be really thin and very invisible. Its a painfull move "note his pain sounds" Thats the sound of your bodyweight being set one one small surface. Obviously he has a small plate of metal on that back or hed be impaled, reguardless its painfull. The cain under the body I have no idea how but that cane is fake...I mean think about it, not many people walk with a cane but for this situation there just HAPPEND to be one. All very impressive, these guys are the BEST!
