The Radeon R300's and R350's (9500 and up) come default with quality settings enabled. You should double check and make sure your ogl settings are set toward performance.

So... i got the new ram, and the same thing happened again. Now amd wants me to ship them the processor so they can test it. My old 1.4 Tbird works fine, but not my barton. Its seems odd that a processor can work at times and at others die. You would think it would either work or not. So... sigh, i hear AMD is good with replacements/refurbishments considering i bought retail.

As a follow up, i did order new ram, however, i tried my old processor which was a Tbird 1.4ghz and it runs without problems. I think the problem either lies in the cpu or the voltage going to it. I think the cpu may be getting starved for energy in the middle of high usage and restarts. I did order memory and i may be trying that. Anyone know the voltage that should be running into a barton 2800+?

Ill give you a working radeon 7000 32mb ddr for $15. It has dvi, vga, and svideo with dual monitor support. Should be plenty for what you want it for and that is a reasonable price i would think.

My ram is only running at 266 while my fsb is at 333. The ram isnt overclocked. I did lower the fsb to 133 and it seems to be running smoothly.

Yes and my system temp hasent gone over 36C and my cpu has stayed under 50C. However my ram is 266mhz ddr and my fsb is currently at 166. Maybe i should be lowering the fsb to the speed of my ram.

I just got the Epox 8rda3+ and a 2800+ barton from newegg and slipped them into my computer. However, im running on a 350 watt ps. During heavy gaming and benchmarks, the system occasionally restarts spontaneously. I assume it is the fact that i have tons of fans and 3 drvs. When i checked my voltages, my 3.3v was only 2.58v, my 5v was only 4.9v, and my 12v was only 11.5v. That 2.58 dropped my jaw... The motherboard specs say that it requires at least a 300 watt ps. Before i go out and buy a new power supply i was wondering if you guys agreed that this is indeed the problem.

I read the ad about your truck, and i have one i sold off. It was a 1983GMC Sierra 4x4 350 show truck. I sold it for $5,000. Seems high but i put around $8,000 in it (new engine, system, driveshaft, ect...) including the purchase cost. I hated to see it go, but you have to bite the bullet and realize your never going to get what you put into your vehicle. If i were you, i would consider lowering your selling price. Just a helpful suggestion. Guess i should be changing my avatar..

oh... i run 2k, didnt know that. The A+ manual always said that 32 was better for making changes though.

regedt32 tends to be better if you are making changes and know where the setting is. There is no search function, but it has many other useful functions.

I overclocked my 9500pros memory up to 400 mhzddr which is actually 800mhz(Dont ask why) and uh... fried it. So i took it back to best buy, said it was defective and they exchanged it for 9600pro and gave me 20 bucks. w00t!
