Yeah. I'm actually looking into getting a copy of this myself. I have it installed, and am currently playing... but it's only a friend's CD key. So I can't play all of the time like I really want to. So, for the moment.. I'm looking for a CD key. Haha. I'll have to see what I can do if you haven't gotten rid of it yet.

isn't the one you linked to dual core? you most definitely want dual core these days. you'd be a moron to buy anything else. just about any new game out uses at least 2 cores. not to mention when you're gaming in a single core game the second core can do other operating related tasks like ventrilo or bt. Yeah, this is true. I was more getting at the fact that Intel, while it is better, is not something I really have to have over AMD. The setup I'm getting should be more than sufficient for the games I actually play. (i.e. Counter-Strike: Source, World of Warcraft and maybe UT3 in the future.) Now, if I do get heavy into other things I might look into better options. I just felt, for the money, that was the best way for me to go without spending an arm and a leg that I don't have. Haha.

Yeah, I thought the same as well. So, I'm just going to save myself the worry and by a Processor Cooling unit. As for the AMD. Yeah, I am on a tight budget. That was the best deal I thought I could get for the money I'm able to spend. I really don't need a Quad Core processor, and Dual Core isn't really something I have to have. I'm not doing any video editing, or looking to run three or four things at a time or something like that. It's strictly going to be for running whatever game I'm playing at the time. So I think it will be sufficient enough for that.

So, I'm not totally sure on the complete specs right now but I'm getting a new PC built. My dad has seemed to have gotten me a pretty good price on the wholeshot. I'm going to have to cannibalize a minor amount of items from my PC.. HDD and simple things like that. I do have a question. Are the 750 mobos decent? Or would I be better off going with the 680i or 780i? Mind you, I'm looking for an inexpensive, but decent PC build. And as it stands, I'm looking at about 450-500 for the one in the works.

Admittedly.. I found myself jealous that I didn't know who this P-Chan was for a long time (Mostly because I never bothered to research the subject). So, at best you had my jealousy for a few days. Now that I know, however.. P-Chan has nothing over the jealousy in my heart towards Tupperware.. IT NEVER BREAKS! HOW?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?! That is all..

Pretty low. 800 wouldn't be horrid, but as I said before.. It wouldn't be anytime soon. Somewhere between 300-500 is probably more realistic within the next few months.

I do have a single AGP slot. I actually forgot about that slot. Mostly because I stopped looking for AGP low profile. I've never really though about just buying a new case. Wouldn't be a bad idea, honestly. I still have the problem of finding a decent card, though I believe. As for running CSS. I don't exactly run it fine, hehe. I mean, I have playable FPS right now. Which is why I'm looking for something more. I want to have more than just playable. The only computer does limit me on what I can do, but I don't really have the funds to build something too terribly good. The cheapest build I've been shown so far, was 803 bucks. Which is doable, just not right away. Thank to Preacher for that one, by the way.

Well, I need something that fits a pci low profile slot. Not PCI-E, just PCI. It's an old computer. I really don't see any need to upgrade, honestly. All I run is CSS. I'm about to get a 360 for the other FPS games I want to play. The PC is fine, I'm just limited on card options. Also, when I looked into a "Half-Height", everything always said it was the same as Low Profile. The card even looks like it would fit into my case. All I really need to be able to do with it is, afix an LP bracket to. Which I have. I'm just not sure that it's possible.

So, maybe 45 minutes or so after I posted about building a new PC.. I hardcore looked into cards. I've looked for weeks, and weeks.. Now, I've looked all over for a comparison on LP and HH.. I've found no one that has said there's a difference. The Memory Clock isn't terrible, and the clock speed isn't that bad for what I actually play. I'm not looking to play anything hardcore, I'm not a big fan of the newer games. I just want something that can play CSS and things like that.. Without problems. So, I was wondering.. Will a HH card fit an LP slot? Can an LP bracket be fitted to it? If so, this one will actually work fine for me I believe. Then, I probably won't have to worry about building something until I can put together the machine I want. Honestly, I'm looking into building a new PC. Though, I'm on a rather low cost bracket. Maybe, 800ish bucks. Which, sucks pretty badly right now. I just need something better. Im stuck with a low profile case right now, which doesn't help matters. See, my current computer would run any game to date.. But my card options are limited because of low profile. So, it's either stick with what I have.. Which is a 256 max (from what I've seen) low end card, or build something else. Anybody have any suggestions?
