lol all_killer.....He stopped smoking pot and drinking as much. I haven't, I am continuing to fry my brain cells and destroy my liver and ill smoke a pack of cigarettes in one night on blackout fridays. As long as people know what they are getting into, they should do what they want. You may say that i am forming addictions to all this stuff...and I say the typical answer....BS. Im in alcohol safty class right now for gettin a possesion of alcohol ticket and we also discuss the way you become addicted. Which i believe is total BS as well, The people who make up "these so called signs" of being addicted are the people that dont do this stuff. And that stuff happens to everyone, like everyone pukes when they get really drunk. I once stopped getting high for a month and I didnt miss it either, I would be able to wake up at 10 am with no problem. I actually cant wait till the day that I get out of college and start a real job. Then I will have something to look forward to and work for some $$$$. But what these people that make up the rules of addiction, they dont understand my enviroment. I go home for christmas break. I dont even drink. I may drink on friday's a few times, but nowhere near as much as i am in school. I dont smoke as much reefer either when i go home, hardly any. Cigarettes, now they are addicting. I will smoke a pack in 2-3 days at school, but when i go home, a pack will last me at least a week. When i get out of the enviroment that i am in now, Im sure things will change, when i have something better to do, I will stop this stuff. You say, something better to do? I mean around here at night, EVERYONE is drinking, so naturally i dont want to be the only sober one sitting there.......and its also kinda fun to drink a 1/5th of jack daniels and run through the dorms flippin all the circuit breakers off (the sXe people will say, how dumb is that) but if you have never experience this, lol trust me, its fun. Which comes back to my point on addiction. I do this cuz its fun, I cant be 30 years old running through dorms turning off everyones power. So im doin this while I still have my youth. When im to old to do this dumb stuff I will stop. Everyone has to grow up sometime.....As for me, not yet

Orbital, I was sXe all through high school man, from like 9 grade till senior year. But Im not anymore. sXe was something Ian MacKaye started in the 80's with minor threat. Once i realized what he was doing i found out it is dumb. He may be against drinking and smoking (which is why kids wanna be sXe so they can be cool and not drink and smoke) but they were all about nazis. Just read Minor Threat My views on alcohol and drugs are..... Alot of drugs are bad for you. The two main drugs that people use are marijuana and alcohol. These two are not as bad for you as alot of them out there, hence they are they most popular cuz they dont eat away your brain like E, dont affect your nervous system like acid. Why do people use drugs? It makes your feel different that what your normally feel like. All the harder drugs are really bad, they make you feel really different, but marijuana and alcohol isnt as bad. Do I drink and smoke pot? yes. Why?, Why not? Its just fun to get stoned and zone out for hours on tv or a game or even play guitar. but of course your only 16 so your views will probably change. Im sure mine will too when i leave college. You may say that alcohol and marijuana is really bad for you and stuff...but if you really want to find out the truth, do your own research on the subject and come to your own conclusion. People say that marijuana is a gateway drug, which is the statement the government came out with in the 50-60's to make it look really really bad. but when the truth is its a really low number like .06 or something who try marijuana go on to harder drugs.

if you have one single line out jack and the headphones work and not the speakers, it has to be your speakers If you have a spearate jack just for headphones, then just plug the speakers into that jack. if speakers dont work, It has to be your speakers

As I have watched this debate, it has acctually opened my eyes. My view on this subject after takin classes in world lit, religion and biology and reading everyones view is this this: The book that you read today was written by hebrews long long ago, and because of the language barrier is very had to translate. I read part of genesis today from scholors who translated it today instead of King James scholors. It sounded very different, instead of this thou art stuff from the shakesphere period. The translators from King James acctually made great peice of work. Every religion is about finding the meaning in the world filled with mystery. If you could prove there is a God, you wouldnt need religion. Here is what it comes down to: Does it work for you? Some people believe because it helps the have a good life and they need it and others find a different way and do not need it

I would like to get back into the debate, but without all this scientific mumbo jumbo and im not trying to insult in anyway. The version of the bible that you read today was translated by 54 scholars appointed by King James I of England at the time of Shakesphere, it was translated the way it so that it sound rythmic and to be read aloud and so it could be taught easily and learned by heart. Fatty says there could be translation problems by the egyptains, but there could be translation problems here as well. I just read some of genesis for the first time in my life. I have to read it for my world lit. class. I dont see how some of the things said could work such as: how Noah could be six hundred years old? its impossible. It would be impossible to round up every species in the world. You couldn't fill an ark with every type of bird there is. and last i would like to say, Genesis says he made everything in a time period of 6 days. There was all types of organisms on earth millions of years before humans.

I would like to debate this without getting out of hand and not posting all these websites with your sources. Im not trying to offend or anything, I would just like your opinions on what I say. The people who are on the creationist side. You are only arguing the christian bible. We can trace people back to 3000 B.C. and christ was said to be born only 2002 years ago. What makes your creationist views different from the rest of the religions?, especially when there is approx. 10,000 other religions out there and most of them have been around ALOT longer than christianity. In this debate I would also like to add that evolutions have ONE theory they are arguing. Considering all the religions, the creationist do not have one theory there are MANY different ways people believe in creationism. I would like to end my post pointing out that at least the evolutionist have decided upon one theory.

This debate could never end. Neither side is fully provable, but being the type of person that wants to see evidence before I believe something. I lean toward the evolution side. 1. If you look at the animals around you, you can see how they are all related. ex: Elk and Deer ex: Grizzly bear, polar bear They had to have had the same ancestors 2. Looks like not many people played the the OLD SCHOOL UO. I beleive its the most addicting game ever. I remember I had that game when it first came out and I only had a 14.4 modem (I doubt I was even connected that fast). I went up in the woods with a friend and was killed by a snake and a jack rabbit cuz of lag i couldnt run fast enough. So I didnt bring the game out until a few more years later. What shard did you play on Hambone? By the time I quit, I had a two story L shape, lots of gold, 4x gm mage, 5 or 6x gm warrior and the nastiest PK ever. The PK was a gm mage with archery. I think I acctually got him up to about 35 short term counts. Oh yeah, I used to play Diablo when it first came out, but then it became overran by cheaters. Never thought about buying diablo 2.

all I have to say is WOW hambone. If I only knew how to write stuff like that. I don't think me or hambone are trying to insult anyone in this debate. The reason why people take offense to our side, is because we go against what everyone has been brought up on. I couldnt agree more with hambone on the subject of why people follow the beliefs they do. I was raised as a christian and attend church every week with my grandparents. I attended a church camp every summer for like 6 years . When I was 16 years old I bleached my hair and my grandparent forbidded me go to go church with them on christmas sunday. I have not been to church since. That was when I realized that I was being raised a certain way and that they are trying to make me follow a certain path. At this point I became more open minded and decided to explore everyones views on this subject. People have always searched for the truth. This is where people's beliefs started. There was a man by the name of Sir James George Frazer who studied how religion has evolved. In early 20th century he did studies of the melanisian culture. He found that primative cultures believe in the spirits(magic) or what they call mana. As the people belifs grew over time, polytheism came along which is beleif in many gods. They no longer thought that spirits was everywhere, but there were many gods that controlled everything. a god for the sun, a god for the rain, a god for the wind, etc. Eventually this belief turned to monotheism, which claims that there is only one God that controls all. Putting this on a progressive scale, first there was magic and then progresses to religion and the next step is science.

i used to play UO, but it became to washed up. I played DAOC for like a month and didnt like it. The game i would like to play is Shadowbane, I've heard about it since like fall of 2000, but they keep pushing the release date back.

aight first off, plants was here first and the cells that came from animals didnt produce plant cells. like you said evolution is change over time. The earth is approximently 4.5 billion years old. 4.5 billion!!!! (This one of the biggest thing my professors stress to the students) think about that, we only see about 80 years. and most organisms see what 10 yrs??? what do two birds produce? hint:not a turtle. now your going backwards. A turtle was here way before birds. New organism didnt come along through the mating of different organism, its through mutation. only like 1 out of every billion mutation is for the benefit. Eventually organism will adapt to fit their climate and what they need to do. Like there was a white moth specie somewhere in new england and when the industrial revolution came along and turned everything black from the soot and the month eventually adapted and turned black. Evolution is not really like survival of the fitist, look at it like, a tree starts off and then branches out. Whales used to be land mammals that went back to the water, thus they are considered mammals instead of fish. Sciecnt found that on some mutations of whales, they have small bones that grow from their back where the legs used to be. You dont believe our ancestors were monkeys? well your gonna say, why are the monkeys still here if we came from them. Because we branched out from the group and adapted to different climates. Also, why are some humans born with tales? I remeber reading about that in my 9th grade science book. We are not anything special, we are here for the same reason everything else is.

I noticed you said lack of Oxygen, Plants take in co2 and produce oxygen. Plants were one of the first ones here so in support of my evolution theory I believe after years and years and years of these plants giving off Oxygen, Oxygen became a more abundant gas and organisms started using that instead of the previsouly more abundant gases.

hambone, i must agree with you, I've read your other post and i think we think alike. If anyone had taken the time to read books it all makes more sense. Science does prove that evolution occurs and anyone with eyes and a brain can see this. Look at the resembalnces between a cat and a tiger. It would be impossible to create different creatures and one look just like the other but a smaller version. There is also the soup theory, If you get the right protiens in a pool of water and it gets stired up, it can acctually create a single cell. I dont have time to write a novel here, So im leaving it at that.
