  1. 204. started exercising a little this week. looks like it paid off.
  2. Is that tempered glass? With the way it shattered, it looks like it was pane glass, or is there a difference. It's good that you took that out, actually. Better to replace that glass with something that won't shatter and cut like pane glass will.
  3. Well, I'm not going to be able to help out the group weight loss. Seems that I'm stuck at 209.
  4. I suggest alot of fruit to get things moving. My wife is kinda the same way, so she gobbles down apples, pineapples, oranges, etc. Eating alot of fiber will clean your insides, but not necessarily make things come out any better. Try a good mixute of fruit and fiber.
  5. holding steady at 209.2 i'll go one more week without exercise, if i'm still 209 next week. i'll step it up a notch.
  6. 2 replies then hijacked....
  7. My memory card corrupted my saved game for guitar hero 3, and so i'm pretty angry right now. Can someone suggest a site that has some reliable cards for good prices?
  8. 211. Only down 1 lb this week. I was still sick all this week but getting better. I'm pretty sure last week's 4lb loss was a fluke, and I'll gain it all back And I'll say from looking at the weight loss chart, Fatty has the most consistent weight loss out of everyone. He must be doing something right. Pep Talk! Don't get discouraged! Keep on, keeping on! Slow and steady wins the race! If this were easy, then everyone would do it! The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary! Some people dream of success others get up early and work on it! <end pep talk> Now, LET'S GO GET HEALTHY, BOYS!!
  9. Don't beat yourself up Bgb. I give myself a cheat day every 2 weeks. Can't expect to be good all the time Make sure you work in days where you can eat what you want. That way you have something to look forward to and you don't get discouraged and stop all together. This is big picture stuff. Just think of it like this. Have more "good" days than "bad" days, and eventually the weight will come off.
  10. 212. I was sick this week, so thats kind of like cheating.
  11. playaa, don't do too much too quickly. step 1. I started out with changing my diet. cut out red meat/pork, and I get 1 cheat day every 2 weeks. Now, you can vary this up. Have a cheat weekend, or one day on the weekend. Something you can manage. You have to slowly ween yourself off. step 2. (this is the step I'm currently in) I have started WALKING a mile everyday. I come home from work, change and walk 1/2 mile, turn around and come back. It's not that hard, and it takes maybe 20 minutes. On this step, you could walk a mile everyday or everyother day, or just on Mon, Wed, Fri. Find something you're comfortable with. step 3. light work out. Light weight lifting and a little running. Nothing more than 1 mile run/walk, and some light free weights. step 4. real work out. running and weights. Now, each of these steps takes a while, and if you really want to keep the weight off, you have to make a lifestyle change. Baby steps, man, baby steps. Do something slightly uncomfortable, until it becomes routine, then push yourself a LITTLE harder. Some people can really start working out hard and keep it up for a while. I'm a guy who needs to ease into it. You won't see results immediately, but slowly and surely, you'll slow down the weight gain, and start to reverse direction.
  12. 216. I think 215 might be the wall that I hit with just using my diet to lose weight. I think eventually I'm going to have to start actually exercising. bleh.
  13. 218...with no exercise and not even lowering my food intake. just changing up what I eat.
  14. Make sure you're weighing yourself at the same time everyday. I noticed that i weigh 5lbs heavier at night than in the mornings, so it makes a big difference.
  15. so no one suggests the prolific mcafee or norton. do these guys just suck that bad? Dweez: whats goin on, man. I'm still chillin out in brooklyn. Working at American Express - Membership Rewards - Marketing. The wife is not working anymore, she's double-mastering in Library Science at NYU and Literacy at Columbia. We're just chugging along. If you wanna keep up with my goings on, check out my blog: klyde-lanta.blogspot.com. i update maybe like once a month. (and it's klyde)
  16. thanks for all the suggestions, I'll wade through my options when I get home. Is there some sort of 3rd party review site for a bunch of these protectors? Like a consumer reoprts of internet crap blocker?
  17. So I had a friend visit, and he went to some unsavory sites on my computer, and I was left with 3 viruses. I have only been using the free stuff (AVG, Ad-aware, Spybot, and Spyware Blaster) and I update them about twice a month. But after this last incident, I would like a better line of protection. Are there any review sites out there about the absolute best protection I can get for my computer? What are yall's experience with these products? I am willing to shell out some money for this. Help please
  18. who or where do we post up our weights? and when do we weigh ourselves..fridays?
  19. I'm looking to cut my cholesterol and lose some weight in the process. This could be some good motivation. I took a blood test about 1 month ago and my trigycerides were 8X the normal limit.....so i thought a change in diet was in order. So I've cut out red meat, pork, and sugar. I eat mostly fish, fruits and veggies now, but now I would like to add-in a workout routine. And this contest would be a good push for me to start excersizing more. Here are my stats: 5'9" 30 yrs old 225 (not sure where I really want to end up wieght-wise, cause I'd like to pack on some muscle as well) for now I'll say 200 Also, on a side note, I have a doctor nutritionist friend, and I told her about this contest. And while she appluads the effort to be more healthy, she was saying that losing more than 1lb a week is not really that healthy for longterm effective weightloss. What is your experience with this kind of rapid weight loss? Seems like ideally, we'd all lose 15 pounds in a 15 week event.
  20. I need examples of cool online catalogs. Something that really jumps out at you, or is very innovative. Like this one: pretty awesome Gimme the links!
  21. I agree with clueless. definitely go honda or audi. I really put alot of time buying my first new car and i found the best bang for your buck was the audi a4 or the acura tsx(4door) or rsx(2door). All 3 of these cars are super reliable, have great resale value, and come with alot of options standard. I ended up getting the tsx, and I absolutely love this car. I have nothing but good things to say about it. Also, the rsx is the 2-door sporty version of it, so no going wrong with either one. And the only reason I didn't go with the a4 was that it was slightly out of my price range. I highly suggest taking a look at all 3, and taking a test drive. And to answer your initial question: tacoma>>>mustang
  22. I got the slim silver and it is awesome. Faster load times, prettier, and makes a great omlette!
