I dont know about you, but I'm a geology major and if you had taken any classes besides geo100 in college or in high school, you'd know that plate tectonics is a theory only about 50 years old, and just a theory, not a law(wrong word, its not a fact its would be a law). My biggest beef with this whole arguement(besides the fact that I ALWAYS get too heated) is when people from both sides of the debate use scientific "facts" to support their points. There is no irrifutable evidence for plate tectonics since we cant even see them. We can observe how they move and use those observations to judge where they will move to next(based on the assumtion that they exist). We also assume many things from this theory(which as my professors and textbooks say is one of the weakest theorys in geology) such as molten mantle/ upper core, solid core. We use these assumptions(which can NEVER become law becasue we will never be able to see this in action) to further back other assumptions such as the eath is cooling(molten mantle slowly cooling to make crust) and that the earth is many billions of years old(showing various ablsolute-age dating methods' weaknesses as justifiable by the melting of the lowwer crust and the hardening of the upper mantle). Im not going to make this a scientific aregument because I dont have the time. But to refute what you said, look to laws, not theorys. Though many theorys are as close to law as possible. There are actually very few laws out there. Cause and Effect. Logical Fact/Scientific Law. When you look at the list of scientific theorys we all believe in, then look to the list of scientific laws, you will find a dramatic difference between the proofs of each kind. OK. IM done. Just saw that commment and had to drop in my little voice. I really dont appreciate people using false data for debates. One: it biases the debate, Two: it makes the user look foolish when proven wrong(which is never good because they get defensive and harsh), Three: it makes the prover look like a jerk(I look like a flamer of you post, but i really just want to leyt you know and the rest who read this post that you mistated a scientific theroy for a law). Anyone else notice lots of things in the second movie about Neo and the Matrix? Such as the Archetech having pictures of Neo "outside" the Matrix? lol i cant find the clipbook becausei dont have the startmenu. And I do have a taskbar. I can see the steam icon and windows messenger and volume controls icons in the "tray" of the taskbar. I know i can "printscreen" but i cant find the program "clipbook" to turn it into a gfx that i can paste it here for you all to see my dilema. Picture it this way: I can see everything normally. Except that I cant see the start menu. There is a taskbar visible. I can see the icons and time in the tray. Everything else is normal on screen, except I cant find my start menu, or right-click on the existing taskbar. I have shortcuts that I could eventually find my way around the computer with, but I would really like to figure out what happened. And yes, this is completely random, just ahppened one day. Sorry dWeezil im not as computer illiterate as you hoped. I didnt just minimize the taskbar, its visible as it normally is, just doesnt have a start menu... jane | gfe

Ok, I got a wierd question for you all. Tech gods come out of the wallwork for this one. I have no start menu! And whenever I minimize a window, it goes to the top of the taskbar and sit there likes not in the taskbar. Also, when I right-click on the taskbar nothing happens... any ideas? My limited computer knowledge may be making you all laugh if this is an easy fix but i tried my best to figure this out. Perfect worlds dont exist. Im just explaining how faith differs from religion and spirituality. I guess it sounds perfect, but thats because it comes from the one perfect being in a world of imperfection, God. God's love is not about optimissm. Its about unmerited favor, hope, fulfillment, and a world of things I have yet to discover. I'm not off the wall here, if you think what I'm saying sounds too giddy and fun, read the Bible. Its a bunch of fun and giddyness, but a lot of it is pain too. Not pain caused by God, but pain caused by our own sinfulness. Pain comes into faith as well, i forgot that part. It is not a doctrinal part of faith, being that God wants us to run from sin, but it is spoken of and acknowledged as a real thing. Faith is interrupted and(sometimes) stopped by pain. Pain is one of those notorious things about which Chirstians and non-Christians argue. Im way off topic here(sorry Cowboy). But all I have to say is that my view holds more nastiness than you guys think. There is nothing that will make a person more pessimistic, hateful, joyless, desperate, or lonely than sin. Sin simply defined is to stray from the path that God called you to. All of us are called to serve Him(servants) because He wants to love us(master). If we stray from this path, there is a world of evil waiting for us and to hold us from Him. Im off topic and Im done now. jane | gfe

What about setting a router and then runningour three comps off of his connection. Will that work, since its not a server? I AGREE WITH BOTH OF YOU. But what neither religion nor spirituality can ever teach us is faith. Faith is what makes religion real. Faith is what proves spirituality as a false end(it may be a true means, but there is an end that spirituality can never bring you to, atonement from sins). Relgion teaches us many different things like how to live life and how to tell others about religion. Whay spirituality teahces us is that there is something out there worth paying attention too. Now faith teaches us love and hope. God(Jesus) demands faith, not religion or spirituality. If you lack faith you will never see God. There is a truth in religion and a truth in spirituality that will never bring you to Heaven. Faith is the truth we seek for everyday. If one believes that Jesus is Lord and follows His calling on your life, then you will never be lacking in anything real(life, liberty, joy(not happiness, which is just an emotion and fades like all emotions)).
