I would have to say overclocking a cheap system is the best way to go right now. Either a 2500+ or 'C' Class p4 pwns when it comes to price. You'll end up with a 3200+ or a 3.2Ghz p4. Athlon 64 3000+ is nice. But ill take the 2500+ @ 3200+ right now. When they come out with an AMD 64 3000+ that runs on a smaller micron process and that can overclock with dual channel ram suppport Ill say go for that.

Xoul what kinda 3dmark 2001 score u getting?

Still these numbers mean nothing to me. I cant look at a number and be like wow that a good score right there And with prices of video card being as much as 40 dollars different front each website that i order from does that change this magical ratio they have enough to change my opinion on a card. And how do bundles that are included with the cards affect the ratio they have setup I see your point but i cant say that the graph helps me at all

They said it was stable at 4700(enough for benchmarks im guessing unless they like be tricky with their words) which is impressive still. If a man could get his hands on that ram ill bring the liquid nitrogen. Then beat u over the head with the bottle of the nitrogen and run off with the best ram ever. HAH

HAHAH FBUCKS is not only the dumbest term of ever heard its also pointless. Anyone that didnt know that you get less bang from your buck as you spend more money on computer hardware is silly. Tom's needs to have one of these charts for CPU's as well. LOL that way Ill know for sure that a p4EE isnt as good per dollar as a 2.4c sheesh Thats the most worthless use of a bargraph ever. im gonna go buy a bunch of direct x 8 cards now that toms made that great graph for all of us. Crowbar i can recomend the X sonic case u metioned. I think it rocks. A buddy of mine got it for christmas and it keeps his overclocked AMD 2500+ @ 3200+ nice and cool. Heres some pics. Thx man yeah i put the window in. I like the way the molding looks a lot better than some of the premod windows. Although both ways are pretty nice. I got the LCD screen from a place called matrix orbital Both screens in those case are connected via a serial port which kinda sux cause id like to disable the ports along with the other old legacy ports and gain some performance. They are coming out with a 4 line USB version of my screen really soon. Right now they only have a 2 line usb version. If you dont mind serial though i the screen is great. It doesnt come with a complete package though. Thats just the bare screen i think. Yeah 30k with exotic liquid nitrogen cooling an overclocked 9800XT and an AMD processor a FX-51@3Ghz to be exact. Too bad that cant be done on air cooling yet.

Cant seem to break 19K though And i dont wanna overclock the video card, but im guessing i could approach 20k if i did. What kinda benchmark score u gettin All Killer?

I'd say thats all the mhz your gonna get from the ram, since its only pc3200 and your running at about 480mhz then its given all shes got. As for the voltage on the processor, I would keep it at 1.7 for a couple days. If its stable at 1.7 back it back down slowly. Each time you back it down run the thing for a few days to see if its stable. Never give it more voltage than what it needs to be stable. The more voltage u give that sucka the faster it will die. I wouldnt be afraid to go over 1.7 v just do it slow. HEhe As long as he keeps the computer awhile itll be worth hope hes not the kind to upgrade every couple of months though Almost 1000 bucks for a processor is crazy. I would prolly buy a 1000 video card(if it pwned and ungodly fast) But never even 700 for a processor I'd say 300 is my max on a processor and ive only spent 200 max on one. Seems to me that the best method of shipping depends on where u live. Fedex seems to pwn for me. However, a pal of mine that lives bout 10 minutes away says fedex wont deliever to his house. So UPS works best for him. Speed and cost wise i cant say that anything is better than fedex. Just got a package from fedex today though and it was beat and torn to crap. So id say that UPS takes better care of their packages than does Fedex. Ill go as far to say that Ive had less DOA products shipped via UPS than FEDEX, and id attribute that to the care that UPs Provides. I think fedex really could just not care about the condition things arrive in. Course if you shop at newegg fedex is the number one choice. Goes for Zipzoomfly too

I own one and my brother does too. As long as the rest of your system can keep up youll be happy with the card. The AA and AF settings that are possible at smooth frames allow for lots of eye candy. Sim games look awsome on the card.

True check for the latest drivers for your video card, sound card, mobo, and anything else. Also make sure the game has the latest patch. Kinda weird to see a Nvidia card to not run an EA game or COD because Nvidia pretty much owns EA and COD. THey paid a bunch of cash to make sure their games are competitive with ATI on COD and EA games in general.

Goes to show that 3dmark 01 is CPU limited and 03 is Video card limited Cause i get 6300 in 03 But im sure that he would beat me with authority in 3dmark 01
