SJ's got the key point I think. Each server has its own traditions, atmosphere and just general feel. Mayhem's main theme is customs and noscope. Making Recrud have the popular customs from Mayhem would hurt both servers in the long run I think. It'd change Recrud from what makes it unique and take away part of what makes Mayhem, Mayhem. The map survivor would be an interesting idea though. It was a big event for Recrud in the past. Also, speaking of the mapcycle on Mayhem and it being a little short... Uhm, yeah... someone's been dragging their feet on this one. <looks around quickly then glances at wrist> WHoa, look at the time, I uh... gotta go <runs from the room>

I had a little help this weekend with the custom maps. We've got 1 from Allanon and 4 from Mookie! geek_pacman cs_NeyYork_sn cs_symphony de_afim de_decoy_v2

I decided to go with Mobil 1 synthetic Truck and SUV. That said, I've got 23k miles on my truck now and just put the mobil 1 in. My brother's been putting it in his for awhile now, and considering he works cementwork and farming I'm sure he's rougher on his truck than I will be on mine. Thanks for all the info guys.

I graduated with a BS in Computer Engineering and now work primarily in Software Quality Assurance. Although my job is a lot of non-traditional SQA work. I manage software release testing, develop tests for new features, provide internal software support to our field engineers for our software, investigate and fix bugs and work on software enhancements.

You would probably want to have these the other way around. I think if you do it this way you'll get a short jump instead of a jump/crouch.

Thanks W8t4time. If an admin is in or on console, then by all means the admin can call for scopeless for everyone and it shouldn't be a problem. However, when admins aren't on there's nothing to enforce the scopeless and we don't want to see people being chased away from GC because they felt harrassed or anything. That said, it is pretty cool to see everyone in there just using scopeless weap's without any direction from anyone. Please just remember that you all are hosts on the server and to treat everyone with respect.

oo, custom map crash fix!

Buying scoped weapons is NOT a something to post a ban request for. I'm unbanning Guerilla,STEAM_0:0:666217, since the only reason I see for the request on him was using a scoped weapon.

I think this may need to be reiterated seeing as there have been 3 posts requestion people be banned for buying scoped weapons after this post was done. Buying SCOPED weapons is NOT a reason for a ban request! Without the server enforcing the weapon restrictions we will NOT ban someone for using a scoped weapon if an admin isn't on specifically using scoped weapons.

Hello everyone, With the update recently and the server move and everything else the server's running a bit different than we're all used to. We wanted to let everyone know that we are working on the server to get it back running the way we love. Unfortunately after the update we lost our admin mod. This means that for the short term we won't have weapon restrictions, time based rotations or other features. This means that for the time being, scopeless isn't always scopeless. Please, if someone starts to use a scoped weapon, don't hassle them about it. Also don't threaten them either, or post in the Got Banned forums about this. You can ask them not to buy it but we don't want to chase off players just because they felt harrased. That said it is impressive to see everyone using no-scoped weapons when we come in though! The admin mod problem also means that for the time being our map rotation will be shorter than usual and admins wont' have all the custom maps to choose from. The update also has caused problems with some custom maps. Certain custom maps will actually crash the server where they used to work before. We're working to test our large number of custom maps but this will take time. We'll try to make it possible for admins to bring up maps after we've tested them to get some of the variety back into the server but this won't happen overnight. Lastly, we'd like to ask for your patience as we work to get these difficulties worked through. unpinned <3 mookie

Welcome to the forums spat, sorry that your first visit wasn't under better circumstances. I think Mookie said it best, if after asking politely they still don't follow the rules, it's best just to leave them be and report them to the forums. I realize this isn't a fast solution sometimes but if you keep pushing them it will only fuel them and make it worse.

Please post this in the ban request post from now on. That way we have one central place for all of these ids.

Ok, sorry for the delay guys. I executed the bans that qued up over the weekend. I did not ban the guy in the demos. Haven't watched the demos yet so I'm reserving judgement

THe weapon restrictions are done by Mani, unfortunately it's Mani that doesn't work on teh server.
