well it's been about 6 months since your drivers were released. they were beta at the time. perhaps updating them to the latest and greatest would solve your issues.

Yeah seems the longer I'm laid off, the fatter I get. You could use a few pounds. I did get my drive in today and they were nice enough to send me a 640AAKS replacement. Shipped via UPS June 29 and got my replacement today July 17. Guess coulda been worse. lucky. i got one of the same back.

spoke too soon. it came today. still took nearly 3 weeks longer than last time.

ya, i'm still waiting on my replacement drive. i even did the advanced. they must have problems right now. my last advanced took like 2 days. it's been 3 weeks for this one.

there's a device manager in control panel in windows 7. not sure how you're missing it...

yea, thats another cons I found about this as well, I have to disable it everytime I use my headsets i dunno. for me it's worth it. skype automatically still uses my headset even with them plugged in so really the only time i need to disable them is when i play css. i just love them compared to anything else i've ever used for computer speakers.

return them. there is something wrong. mine are very clear even at low volume and the bass is very good even in my basement. btw, i just disable them when i play with headphones. in windows 7 it's easy to enable and disable audio devices.

you paid 80 so why would you say they're worth 75-150? sounds like you paid the right price. i paid about 100 bucks for my z-cinema and they're worth EVERY penny. amazing sound for the price. that said, i don't think i'd pay 300 bucks for them. what don't you like about them? i've not heard a better sound speaker in that price range EVER. imo, they sound better than the z5500s. don't get as loud but they definitely sound fuller.

if you put maple syrup on it would it be Canadian? i suppose you could fit a whole bunch in the bed. don't get me wrong, there's plenty of canadians with trucks like that. just when i picture an american vehicle, i picture a big donkey pickup truck. i can definitely appreciate having a big truck. i really miss my parents yukon xl when i feel like hauling 6 people and gear to the cottage. i'm just more of a car guy at heart. i guess off-roading would be the point of making a truck like that right? i definitely want to see some of those pics. i would think you'd have no worries of getting stuck in that eh?

most major products have windows 7 drivers out now. any that don't typically work fine with vista drivers installed in device manager.

same exact problem with crossfire. i've just learned to live with it. strange that it effects both nvidia and ati. glad to know. obviously it's a windows 7 issue. btw, it only started since rc1. i've only tried cat 9.5 also.

don't even bother with vista. download and install windows 7 rc1. you won't regret it. also, it plays a lot nicer with ssd drives. nice system though. if i was building an amd system it would probably be very similar.

I've actually only built one computer (12 years ago). Everything after that has been upgrades. ditto. i've never done a completely brand new build.

x850 would be between the ti4600 and the 7900gt i believe. this is a really cool idea for a thread. too bad more people aren't participating.

it's been a while. figured i'd post an update. still rockin the same background but no longer vista.

looks good from side profile but that front end is quite possibly the ugliest front end i've ever seen... the back ain't much better. the main problem is that it looks like it has a face on both ends. the front has this big stupid grin and the back looks like some kind of insect. cool that it's a 6spd. looks like a ton of options standard. i'm also sure it's fun to drive. i just can't get past that front end. i don't even think it's a love it or hate it thing. i truly believe that car will be looked back upon 50 years from now as one of the worst looking cars of all time.
