There always two perspectives, and to know something, you have to see both sides. And there are studies. I never said how much faith I place in them. However, I do believe that the actions children see have an affect on them, in one way or another. I haven't attempted to offend you. Please do not attempt to offend me. Challenge them with sport. They get exercise, develop real life team skills, and they get outside. If you are really trying to accomplish what you have stated here, sport is much better suited then a video game. It does? Where? To what do you owe this knowledge? I wonder, is porn always therapeutic? What if it depicts children? You can see that it is entertaining (for a sick mind), and it is very toxic for that person because it will encourage them to act upon their desire. I never said what the affect was. This has been too one sided. I really don't care what you do with your server. I actually prefer it over most others. However, I am also an arguementative person, and there are always too sides to every story... so... out of boredom and spite... Is it? Surely you can see that there is a connection between playing a game that is violent, and then requesting that everyone play nice by not cussing. If you do not, why do you suppose it keeps coming up? You say it is your favorite arguement, so I presume it has been made in the past. I guess many ppl see the irony. Really? Have you read any studies about kids and watching violance? There are tons of studies out there that tell you it has a terrible affect on their young minds. You might want to read a few. Honestly, the least of your worries should be having them hear someone say a profanity. It is a mature game. The box even states "17+" I don't think a kid should listen to swear words, but I am certain a 17 yo kid has heard a few. Besides, I don't think a swear word will affet you kid nearly as much as watching violance (as I have already stated). The game relies on chat for communication. You are suggesting that the game is otherwise silent. Language is the jelly, the game is the peanut butter. There is an expectation when you enter an online game, with other humans, that there will be communication. In fact, there is a warning on most games about playing online. When you fire that game up, you are consenting to the activity, and the communication. This game has a muturity level for two reasons, the violence, and the potential for online discussion. You wish to seperate the two, but they are very much intertwined. Cussing is vulgar. It isn't meant to be constructive, nor intelligent. Redundant? Ah yes.. so you can play a game made for juvenilles, blow someone's head off, watch the blood splatter on the wall, and never have to read someone type out: bs. I think the best answer is simple. There is no profanity on the GC server because the ppl that pay for it, make the rules. Well, anyway... I actually prefer this server because I don't have to hear someone scream profanity into their mic. Now, you might suggest that this is a bit of hypocrisy. But I will suggest it is not, for three reasons. 1. I don't have to read what someone types. I seperate the two forms of in-game communication regarding this post. 2. There is irony in this philosophy, even if you choose not to see it. 3. The terms I left at the beginning of this post.

Hello, I never complain about games, servers, or other players. I would like for those to understand that I work out of a subtext of just playing for fun. When things are not fun, I move on. I haven't the time to stress over a hobby, so I tend not to worry about the side issues. When I was playing today, I honestly thought someone had killed me through the console. Right as the round started I was killed. When I looked at the right upper side of the screen to see who/what killed me, there was only a skull and duma suicide. I then asked if the console killed me. I couldn't think of any other reason that I would see no one killed me, but I was dead. I like playing on GC server, so I made it a point to try and correct this, rather then move on. I am actually glad that I did. What I learned from this is that GC is truelly a better community then most. You have people who really listen to the complaints of the public, and look into matters rather then just passing it off as foolishness. I offer my sincere apologies for this mistake, the time Fatty had to spend looking into it, and any misrepresentations this might have made upon the honor code of the server admins. First, I would like to say that I enjoy your server. I go there because I know that the "crap" isn't taken. However, I am very disappointed with the immaturity of an admin of your server today at 130pm EST on your scopeless server. It was the first round, and I was the only T left. There were two AT left, both of which were trying to get to the bomb. I was low on health, so I was trying to slow them down, and hope the bomb would go off in time. The clock was to a point that I though it was safe to chase after one of the AT players that I had taken a good number of shots at. I was wrong. The other AT defused the bomb. Now, I can take the "you stupid [explicit deleted]." What I find incredibly wrong is on the start of the next round, an admin killed me through console. I find that this goes against the principles of GC, and it goes against the reason I play on your server(s). GC servers kick those that TK. For that alone, this was wrong. Though the admin might not have been on my team, the basic ideals of why a tk is wrong is still there. The taking of another players life, by means of ill intent, and taking an advantage of a situation. It also hurts the team. So, though it might not have been a tk, the rational remains the same. Second, you hold a philosophy on your website that, "games are meant to be fun. When something is not fun, something needs to change, you can enjoy gaming without cussing, putting people down, or riding on your own ego. In fact, the games are much more fun without these things." IMO, what happened there was in violation of those two philosophies. Apparently and admin took this game beyond being fun. If a person's mistake is punished by a TK, that is outside the scope of this "game." Also, tking a person who failed to do as you wanted, is by all means a way of putting down someone. Finally, I Find this to be in a failure to act as an admin should, according to your own standards. "Admin .. foster fair play.." I don't believe that was fair play. To tk a person because of a poor choice. And, given my health, had I stayed put, I might have died anyway. I requested the admin to step forward, but none would. I suggest to them that tking me was against the GC philosophy. Still, no admin would step up to tell me why they thought it wasn't. I realize that I am just a pub. I am not required to play on your server. However, I think that if I were running this clan, I would want to know when someone was in gross failure of upholding our philosophy. Bill has two weeks to put a plan together to beat down Philly. Let us think this over: 1. Stopped the highest scoring QB in NFL history. P. Manning didn't have a single TD. 2. Scored more points on the leagues BEST D. then any other team. They did this in said D's HOME, a place Pitt. hasn't lost in over a year. 3. Philly doesn't have Pitt D, or Ind's O. Now, every time I try to connect I get booted right after I pick a team. There isn't a message or anything, so I am not sure that I am banned. Offense wins games, Defense wins championships. The Steeler D is ranked one of the best this year. As for TO, he is a major factor for the Eagles. I would have said this was going to be their year to get in, but without TO, I don't know. It will be a close one. I just think GB will edge them out.

Jets San Diego Denver Indianapolis Pittsburgh New England My vote: I think the NFC is hard to say, but the AFC I see it being Pittsburgh... and I see them winning it too (although I am a Steeler fan so maybe I am being a bit too hopeful). I was thinking it would be the Eagles, but without Owens, I don't think they can get it done. My vote is GB.

I am simply a CS newbie. I played RTCW for three years, so I am very aware of teamwork and movement. I ran a clan for those three years, and we were in the top of TWL (top 10 thru the number one spot). I played instagib UT for a long time, and then moved into UT 2004 just last summer. I am getting better at CS, but it seems I am either feast or famine.
