Hax! how did you get by without using the default rez? Our graphic score are almost exactly the same but you whipped me on the CPU tests. Does that mean our GTs are topped out? Or that 3dmark doesn't use more then 2 cores for the graphic tests? Anyway you can re-run the tests at standard resolution or does your monitor only support one resolution? I bought 3dmark06 for 15 bucks from their website and changed rez to 1360x768 from the 1280x768 Got a coupon by doing a search for promotional codes. I haven't oc'd my vid card yet but don't plan on it cuz everything runs fine. Each test is performed is category specific. The native rez and max for my monitor is 1360x768 but I can run 1280x768.

I'm using avg 8.0 and upgraded from 7.5 because my license was about to expire. When you install version 8.0 uncheck the web shield and link scanner junk because your internet will move at a snail's pace like you mentioned in your post. I had the same problem but after I did the reinstall without those options everything is running fine. All you really need is the anti-virus, email scanner, resident shield scanner, & update mgr. components installed.

O man you beat me too, just by a little tho. What kind of monitor setup you running ebits? Your running water too right? You gonna push that quad a little more? I pushed my E2160 stable at 3.3 but just wont do 3.4ghz. I actually starting to smell my comp when i hit 3.3 and i got scared when after i couldnt reboot after 3.4 I had to unplug my comp and it finally reset even after i cleared the cmos. You guys running registered versions of 3dmark? I always have to go online to view my stats. It's a widescreen 23" Samsung hdtv/monitor. I was running water awhile back with my athlon 3800 but got rid of it cuz I didn't like the maintenance part. heh Right now the q6600 is on a Ninja Plus Rev B cooler with a 120mmx120mmx38mm Panflo Highspeed fan pusing about 130CFM I think or 110cfm...don't remember the actual specs of airflow. I used the 120mmx120mmx25mm fan it came with for the exhaust. I might push it more but for now I'll leave it at 3.0 my mem is running at 889MHZ The cpu temps stay in the high 40's on load so I'm good. Um...I'm using the extended evaluation version?

That's the same case I have and I believe flitter also bought one for his build. Enjoy! Just don't forget to clean out the fans or you'll see dust bunnies hatching inside. I have to clean mine every 2 weeks but it's probably because the fans are all set to high.

It's probably the holiday mayhem that's getting to everyone! The only beef I have is not knowing what hit yah and boom your dead. Also, ut3 is rather dark and it's hard to see ppl on some maps. Ruff is right on this one though cuz warfare will be fixed when the new patches arrive and ppl make 3rd party maps so it's best to be patient.

heh, I thought "wildchild" was Lex's other nickname? Btw, if you goto community then click friends. On that list if the check is enabled for joinable you can click on that friend's details and choose the option to follow player to join them on the server. Not sure if it's only on the beta patch but it works for me.

I downloaded mine from direct2drive I'll probably pick up a copy next week for my lil bro so he can get in on the mayhem.

I have an old athlon 3800 with 1 7900 GT KO and it runs smooth for me except for the map loading part where my pc gets a hiccup.

Hmmm mine idles at 45C and if I peg both cores it teeters between 59 and 60C. I'm using an Actic Freezer 64 Pro cooler. You might say my temp monitoring if off kilter but after I play UT for a half hour my case is pumping major heat out the back. Seems my system if outing twice the heat it used to before I upgraded from single core 64 at 2.4 and a 7900 GT. I'm happy with my current system, I just need to get Comcast to straiten their bacon out. I hope your temp monitoring is really off cuz 60C on an Athlon smells like a meltdown is coming. I was using the Artic Freezer 64 Pro cooler before I switched to the Zalman. You probably need to reapply the paste and your temp should drop back to 50 while playing UT with that heatsink. I use Everest Ultimate Edition to monitor my system.

FYI: I have the same CPU running at 2.4ghz/1.49V with the idle temp of 30C and 42C load. I'm using the Zalman CNPS9700 LED CPU Cooler with super thermal grease.
