almost right. It has to do with the way the earths magnetic poles reflect and even let in some of the sun radiation.

LOL.. Hey, I am a star gazer, what can I say. I love watching stars (not the ones I see after a long night). Watching the Arora Borelous is a sight to see for sure. And if your a star gazer im sure most of you know that the poles do inadvertanly switch every few 10k years or so, which would mean we are due for another one in the next 1000 years.

...for seeing the northern lights that is. It seems over the next 50 years the North Pole (the actual magnetic field, not where "Satana" lives) is moving at suchs a rate, the Arora Borealus wont be seen again in under 50 years, as the pole is moving to Siberia!. So for all you people who like to sit outside every once in awhile and watch amazing rate occurance, the next time you see it; take a few minutes out of your day and gaze, as it could be one of hte last times you see it. full story here

getting you CC stolen sucks. My dad's CC # was stolen at one point (we are assuming it was from when he used it at a hotel) and then it was used to buy somthing like $5k worth of stuff OVER IN MALAYSIA! He got a call from the CC company asking if he actaully spent it, and of cource he didnt. Needless to say he didnt have to pay... the lesson is... Using someone else's CC is to easy to use. Hey, I can say this because for the past about a year now me and my gf (we have joint CC accnt) have been signing names such as "Turd Furgason" "EXPLICT NAME HERE", we have also drawn a picture of a certain body part when singing those electronic signatures. No one has said a thing yet, we are going to keep doing it until someone notices somthing; but it's quite rediculous how easy it is to use someone else's CC.

Has anyone copied anything from their DVR to their computer? w/out the use of a capture card? I have the SA 8000HD DVR. It has the firewire ports, and was wondering if anyone has used these? I am really in no mood to rip apart the DVR box and take out the HD, was a pain when I did it with my last one, and really dont want to go through it again.

^^ Agree, instaed of taking everythign out then putting it all back in just to ping out you have to take everything out again. clear yourself a nice work area, and set down some cardboard and some anti-static bags. when you remove each part, put it on the A.S bags and then reassable it on your desk. This way when you find out that your CPU is dead, you dont have to take everything out again and put it back in. That is what I usually do, if I think somthing major is wrong. Hey you never know a piece of wire or somthign could have misteriously appeard in on the back of you tower.. (Hey it could happen, i think.. darn wire fairy)

^^ They usually last only a few days. Newegg is always changing up their deals. My sugestion to you is email or even phone them and ask. esp if you want it and would "order it next week" then find out it's not on sale. when I bought my parts, 1 of them wasnt even in stock anymore and 2 of the others their rebates were gone.
