I wish someone would explain this to me, I cannot make that gun accurate. Ever. I've tried 'squeezing a few rounds off' i've tried crouching.. but either way my performance with the gun is horrible, Once in awhile ill get lucky and clip someone and take'm down.. But when I get the drop on someone, or i have my crosshair *right* on them, i never seem to hit.. basically, the AK works for me when i dont care.. but when i need it, it never ever works. And yes, i would love pure pistols

So i finally tried the server, and i generically like it, but i found one big personal problem, and thats that i have an extremely difficult time playing a Terrorist on this server.. The biggest reason is that i feel semi-forced into using the AK.. now - before i go any further, this isn't a whining post or anything of that nature, think of it more as a suggestion thread But still, the Terrorists only really get 2 choices when picking a Rifle, and I, for one.. am absolutely horrible with the AK.. I dont know why.. But i am just not accurate enough with that weapon to be feasibly decent with it. Im Worse with the Defender... And any Non-Rifle weapon i choose i pretty much die every encounter i have with an M4 user. I started using the p228 (the pistol) and had more luck with it thene the AK :\ I was upset at this. My suggestion, because of this, is to impliment the SG552 into the Terrorist selection of weapons, its not really a 'camp' type of weapon (in my humble opinion).. it does have a small 'zoom' feature, but I dont think that really qualifies it as a scoped weapon.. but again, thats just my opinion.. So yea, i talked with a few .gc members while i was playing and they (much to my suprise) seemed to support the idea. I dont expect anything to happen, just some open debate on the subject. What do you guys think?

Hey guys, i wanted to let everyone know that tonight I witnessed a pretty unique hack for CS, it wasnt on your guys Server, but another (yours was empty ) Anyway, i don't recall the individual in question, but Everyone pretty much declared him a hacker and chaos insued, but no admin was around to remove him..yatta yatta yatta.. Well, I took a few spec rounds to watch this guy, and took some notes down of what exactly he was doing.. Basically, it seemed he had a program that forced his mouse to train on targets, almost actively.. and it was kinda hard to tell because he could retain control of the mouse too, but it seemed when he wanted, he could force his 'aimer' directly at someones head, He combined with the AWP on Dust (the one where you can snipe from the spawn?) and was able to rack up almost 3 Headshots a Round from accross the entire map. He also seemed to *only* move his character with the movement keys (wasd) .. He would Not use his mouse to look around until there was a target that got close, or within shooting range, And then, his movements seemed *extremely* precise, all of a sudden his screen would veer left at someone, and he would crouch, and would have a great shot, Now, it didn't just *point* his aim directly at their head, it was much much more subtle then that, it would 'tell' him where they were and let him handle the rest, basically, so it looked more natural. Im not sure this post will do much good, But after witnessing that i think its good information to share, if you notice any signs of omnipotence, might be time to get suspicious and watch him/her a few rounds, The Admins (And the players!) on this server are a great bunch tho, So i don't think we'll have to worry, im just trying to shoot out some of the tactics and techniques i saw, by the end of the map his kill count was over 50 and his death count was under 10. I Guess thats it.

I do have a serious problem with this map, I mean.. i can play it fine.. so.. idonno why your crashing? .. But i get shot in the face a *lot* on that map its depressing.

Im pretty new myself, but.. some quick things i picked up: 1. Teamwork is by far the most important thing in CSS, A Team that works together to achieve a specific goal will *usually* win, reguardless of skill. This isn't always the case, but a smart team will win most of the time. If someone wants to rush, or if someone wants to wait, or if someone wants someone to cover a specific way *do so* and help them out a round. 2. Knowing the Map is also extremely important, more-so than in any other FPS i have ever played, you *must* know the routes and the bomb sites.. or you really wont know where to go and where to shoot, if you have a few maps you dont 100% know (i still have some!) my advice is to follow a good player (like shodan, hangover) around and watch specifically where they go, you'll notice they almost have a route set up before they even begin. Furthermore, its important to know where *NOT* to go, like the bridge on Aztec? yea.. thats bad if you have a TMP. Thats an easy one, but its a good example, you need to know where NOT to be. 3. Get good with a Gun. Seriously. Its Important to find a weapon on both sides that you not only like, but can do good with. The 'best' players seem to like the Deagle, the AK, and the M4... I guess they are just awesome, i tend to favor the FAMAS. I could probably give some more advices, but like earlier stated, im still pretty new myself, so to anyone reading this .... Use at your OWN risk.

What?! .. Thats horrible logic my friend. Furthermore, thats also your opinion... If the company thinks the game is good then they can release it. If customers like it, they will buy it.. this is the way of business man, if *you* as a consumer don't like it, then thats too bad, you have to find something you DO like and accept the fact that a company needs to make new products to sell so it can stay alive. The fact that you think the game sucks has absolutely nothing to do with you getting screwed over. *Nothing* Thats right, they are paying attention to the better game, the one that will attract more customers. Once again: the fact that you dont like it has absolutely nothing to do with that; others DO like it. Your welcome to your opinion and im glad you've selected a game, but that does *NOT* give you the right to bash/hack against the company in question for releasing another product. Just say 'aww, i dont like this game as much, i wont buy it' .. Thats how you hurt a company. You *cannot* stop hacking, its an impossibility, its a Yomi game. Do you know what the term means? its means a game where to win you must predict your opponets thoughts. Rock, Paper, Scissors is a great example. The Creators use Rock, the Hackers use Paper to beat it, the Creators switch to Scissors to beat the Paper, but then the Hackers switch to Rock to beat the Scissors. Point in case? You will never *really* stop the ability for people to manipulate code and create proggies to change how the game works in their favor, The only thing they can do is find the most popular programs and stop them from being used and distributed. The hackers can then make a new proggie and the system starts all over again, its like a game with cat and mouse. Not trying to bash you, but there are some serious flaws with your logic.

This is good stuff! I really enjoyed the darker atmosphere in some areas, the sewers make the Flashlight and Time Goggles a viable option which i absolutely adore. The map has a few bugs, some folks have trouble climbin' those ladders (i had very little, just ran and jumped) And in one of the rooms, you can clip into the cabinets and stuff to 'hide' .. Still, besides the minor bugs i'd love to see this into the rotation simply because the design is so well thought out.

I'll be the first to admit im abysmal with a sniper rifle, i always have been, probably always will be.. im totally serious, i make a great Grunt, but i can't snipe for crap, im a decent shot at long range, its just the whole crouching and waiting thing, aggrivates me, so for some, its hard. This is a technique almost every game suffers from, its called Slippery Slope (the theory being that it becomes harder for the looser to regain himself) But in CS:S its not bad at all, and thats because the AWP and Auto Snipe can be beat with a solid, firm, well executed RUSH! .. the key to the game is tactics, not gunfighting. I agree, Far to many use it. And i hate snipers anyway..

Okay, so heres the deal, i'll start CS:S...navigate to my favorites, do a few refreshes/pings to see who's playing on what server.. ill attempt to join a server, and instead of joining... I'll get a cute little status window that pops up, and ill watch my latency pop up to 2000. The server wont connect, if i alt-tab out of the game? my internet wont work either. If i close steam AND CS:S, my internet comes back no problemo, If i wait for about 5 minutes.. the problem will also go away. I should state now this is not related to a specific server, the problem is global, and if i wait for the problem to go away, I can eventually join the server in question, but waiting 5-10 minutes to do-so is a downer at times. This can be kinda annoying, and i was wondering if anyone had any experience with the bug? i can't seem to get it to go away.. I'm fairly confident its Steam related because no other game has *ever* done this. ... any ideas?

I figured i'd start a thread concearning the weapons of CS, because i see a lot of people have favorites (myself included) and im curious as to know why.. so im inviting everyone to list your favorite And least favorite weapons, and why this is so.. hopefully we can make an encouraging thread that will help some people learn about some of the weapons strengths and weaknesses.. I'll start My favorite weapon, while playing as the CT's is the FAMAS.. Its very accurate and has a nice 3-round burst feature that makes it increadibly useful as a sniper rifle, i find the gun doesnt deal too much damage, but makes up for it with some nice accuracy.. Plus i love the design. If im playing Terrorist, i tend to take the sg552, i notice a lot of people take this, seems to be a really popular choice.. its powerful, accurate.. and has a scope A nice all around gun. Some of my least favorites include the AK, i can never seem to hit people with it, but people seem to be headshotting with the gun a lot.. theres too much recoil for me though, Another one i can't use well is the Scout, im not the best of snipers, i prefer to stay moving and keep active.. But even when i try sniping with it, its rare that i hit someone, i've seen others do amazingly well with it though. Anyway, thats it i guess hope to see some informative replies.

Cheating in Multiplayer & Singleplayer is a wasted experience, in my opinion.. really detracts from the game overall, especially multiplayer. The good thing is its really easy to see if people are cheating, Speedhacking especially, i've had firsthand experience already with seeing people zipping around at about x4 speed, the funny part was the guy kept getting shot. its gotta make you feel bad to be cheating and doing worse then 60% of the server.

Luck probably, im not that bad.. i have my on and off days Im a good FPS player in general, but need to get a bit more familiar with the guns and such

hey guys, names k-wix Found the server totally by random, and ended up really liking the atmosphere and the policy, so i +fav'd it .. now ive been playing for a few weeks and getting to know some people and enjoying it quite a bit, ill stick around Someone told me to reg on the forums so uh.. here i am.. Not much really to say except nice job on the CS server admins are doing a great job and i always have fun. I've *never* played the original CS (infact i hated it, go figure) so im just now getting into things with Source, That being said im not to hot at the game yet, looking to pick up some tips and things. Oh - i actually live up in Toledo - fairly close to you guys I was quite suprised. Um.. thats it i guess.. Any questions, comments, flames, whatever.. go for it
