Found this internet radio station awhile ago, listen to/watch it fairly often. It's great, they play about every type of music there is, from David Bowie to Nickleback to Coldplay to Limp Bizkit to Avril Lavinge to the local Aussie talent, to blues artists and much more. All the music is accompanied by video, often the music video, however also a lot of live in-studio stuff or video from the live shows at the Basement Club. Also occasionally they'll just have video of the dj's sitting at their desk, when there's no accompanying video for the song. The website has a shop with various albums and dvds and apparel availbile. One of the best parts is that it's an Australian station, so lots of the artists and all the dj's have Aussie accents. Saw the pre-screener today. It is simply funny. I recommend it to anyone who is wanting to see a good comedy! Sandler and Nicholson are awesome together on the same screen.

I don't know if there are a lot of Eminem fans in here but post up if you are. I know I am a fan but not a hardcore one. I love his music and think he is very unique with his lyrics. No one ever thought a white man could do it in the rap world but he did and has blown up to be one of the biggest acts of today. He has had sucessful albums and headlined his own tours. Lets hear some opinions on one of the most controversial rappers of our time.

I know I would have to start this or else it would never get started. My mp3 collection right now is about 2,477 mp3's. Throw in all I have on cd from when I backupped and deleted em. I am running at around the 4,000 mark. CD's I prolly have about 50-75. All older stuff ie. Metallica, KoRn, Limp Bizkit (:Cringes:), Dre, Eminem, etc.. Post up your collections of either. Ha...that get your attention? I like all kinds of music (esp punk)...but to me it is all about talent. I can appreciate any musician that I feel has real talent, especially if they have a unique voice or singing style. Who are your favorite singers?????? Who has a unique and pleasing voice?????? My favs: Luciano Pavarotti - He is UNREAL Ozzy Osbourne - Cool sounding voice, very unique Davey Havok (A.F.I.) - Very cool, very different Elvis Presley - Beautiful, Rich voice Celine Dieon - She can wail (not my kinda music though) Michael Stipe - Cool and recognizible voice Eminem - like it or not, he has a unique voice and skill Nick 13 (Tiger Army) - Maybe not as clairant as Davey, but still very unique voice and EXTREMELY different and cool music I guess when it comes to the frontmen...I am a fan of someone who will never be mistaken for anyone else.

Hm..... I was watching Crouch Tiger, Hidden Dragon again for like the 100th time 2 days ago and really got into the foreign films thing. Have you guys heard of irreversible? Its supposedly a French Forgein Film that has like a 10 min rape scene and a scene where a guy is getting his head bashed in with a fire extinguisher. I think it isn't getting released in the US but there are tons of forgein films that are awesome! Kinda like Life Is Beautiful etc. Any suggestions?

I am going to leave this thread to all the rockers out there. I notice Wilco having an obscene amount of cd's and I must say I love the collection. Metallica has been a band that (if you don't mind me saying) revolutionized rock music today. Almost all of today's bands I know of have all been influenced in some way by Metallica. In fact, MTVIcon is finally making an episode featuring Metallica just like they did Aerosmith and Janet Jackson. Theres a contest on MTV.com about showing you being the biggest Metallica fan and they'll send you out there. Now with every good side comes a bad. Many people felt the rage as did me when Metallica landed their lawsuit on the ever so famous company "Napster", which we all know has been shut down for over 2 yrs now. Many fans became outraged and boycotted Metallica cause of this. I am curious as to peoples views towards this as I am sure many of you have a view either way. Post up your views and plz don't flame one for not having the same view as yourself. Thx and I look foward to reading your responses.

I know that I LOVE going to a concert. There is nothing better than going to a live show for a band. The energy is unreal and also the chance to meet tons of new people and interact with many. However, I know a couple of people that hate going to concerts. It gets very tiring and sometimes things get WAY out of control and I even know people whom have gotten hurt. Post up whether you love em or hate em. As well as post up concerts you have been too. Start new threads for concerts you are going to be attending and people will post their opinions and hopefully we'll get a review when the concert is over. Been to myself. 3 Metallica (pre 1998) 4 KoRn (98 and later) Hope to goto a Linkin Park very soon.
