  1. Its the 10 year anniversary of Tupac's death. I know we have some rap fans out there, thought I would let them know. Crazy to think of how many more albums and quality songs would of came out in the last 10 years if he wouldnt of been killed.
  2. Tracid

    Yi Fei

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWrkb3HpI90 She's awesome, one of her best roles is in Return of the Condor Hero
  3. Anyone else like'em besides me? You GOTTA hear their song Brooklyn, It is amazing. Also if you have any other Jazz Bands you like feel free to post.
  4. Is anyone here in/used to be in Marching Band? I do, and I play the Alto. Sax.
  5. new cd coming out on august 29; amazon.com has 3 of their tracks available for preview (via myspace). sounds tasty. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GPIPJ...3261638?ie=UTF8 *offensive language warning*
  6. So yea, one of the coordinators for the videos at wildaid.org contacted me about doing a track for one of their upcoming movies and i decided i would try for them. Ethnic is not my style at all, im more of a trance guy, but i've been putting some new samples at work and this is where im at so far, its almost finished. They also have a Violinist lined up to record some stuff for me - he's been playing for over 13 years so im excited to see what he can do! he hasn't recorded anything yet so this is all My work so far. I wanted everyone here to check out the track if they are into that vibe and tell me if im hitting my mark or if its way off? Also normally i do 'remixes' and things of that nature, this is one of the first completely original works of my own that i've released. If anyone digs lemme know linkie: http://kwix.shackspace.com/Tigers7.mp3

  10. Hey Gcers, i just wanted to let you know i've still been very active musically, and have been working on a little project for atleast 3 months now. The project is called 'Cave Story Remix Project' and deals with 'redoing' the themes from an old game produced by a guy made a long time ago There are 22 tracks, 2 cds, and we've got everything from Techno to Orchestral, Ethnic to Hard Progressive Rock. I have also done a song, its track #6. So check it out if your interested, i almost forgot to mention The Entire Album is Free to download and listen to so let us know what you think! http://kwix.shackspace.com/cavestory I know we have a lot of people who are interested in Genre, so ill list some quick info about each of the tracks in hopes that people dont have to sift through genre's they might not like. The descriptions really arent 100% accurate, but they are close enough to give you an idea if your listening to Boom Tss Boom Tss or falalala. 01 Ethnic-ish 02 Ethnic-ish 03 Break-Beat with Flute Solo 04 New-Age Techno 05 Playful Rock 06 Smooth/Soft Trance 07 New-Age Techno 08 Progressive Rock 09 Orchestral 10 Piano into Techno 11 New-Age Techno 12 BreakBeat/Hard Trance 13 Orchestral into Break Beat 14 BreakBeat 15 Nintendo Chip Tune 16 Nintendo Chip Tune 17 Ethnic Trance 18 Guitar Ballad 19 Dark Orchestral 20 Progressive Rock 21 Smooth/Chill Trance 22 Hard Trance/Finale All the mixers are hurting for some feedback so *please* give some opinions, i really respect the community here so i hope to hear good things!!
  11. Does anyone have this CD and want to sell it to me? As far as I can tell it is out of print and they don't sell it anywhere anymore. There is an import version too (2 CDs) - I'll take either one...
  12. What conerts are you guys going to this summer? Ive Already seen the Fall Out Boy/ All American Rejects show this summer. Since then I bought tickets for Ozzfest, Family Values 2006, and Summerfest.
  13. I just went to the Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects concert two nights ago @ the UIC Pavilion and boy was it fun! From First To Last and Hush Sound opened. Hush Sound - sucked. Too sissy. From First To Last - I loved them, but they were too hardcore for that crowd. All American Rejects - Awesome. My 2nd time seeing them and they pumped up the crowd more then FOB. Fall Out Boy - they were really good, minus the singer. He can't seem to carry his notes live. Still they put on a very entertaining show. I would love to see them again.
  14. I had heard of this band before but never really listened to their music...I caught a song on the radio by them yesterday and they are GREAT. I really like the kind of "scream-o" bands like Blindside, Funeral for a Friend, Story of the Year, etc...well these guys fit very well into that group but they also stand out a bit as their vocals are INCREDIBLE. There is so much raw emotion coming out of their singer (who is the actor Jared Leto if you know who that is). Definitely worth checking out. I recommend previewing the song "The Kill" and "From Yesterday" over at Amazon. I'd upload some mp3's of them but I only have M4P's (iTunes files that can only be played by me).
  15. Angels And Airwaves - We Don't Need to Whisper Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I am, That's What I'm Not Caesars - Paper Tigers Editors - The Back Room Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium Rock Kills Kid - Are You Nervous Snow Patrol - Eyes Open The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers We Are Scientists - With Love and Squalor Those are all the albums I am listening to right now.
  16. So who do you believe is the greatest MC? I like rap, do others here? Just wondering who you think the greatest MC is, post up your feelings and I will add them to the poll if they are not there. I have to go with tupac just for how nice he flowed and that he could make a song to play at a party then one to change the way people thing like brenda's got a baby and changes.
  17. are you going to get it? a friend of mine is sending me an advance...should be here today. i've heard a couple snips, and i think it's going to be good.
  18. Anyone else a fan of JPop and/or JRock and other Japanese music? Some of my favorite artists include: Hamasaki Ayumi, Hitomi Furuya, Luna Sea, Yoko Kanno, Namie Amuro, Utada Hikaru, Gackt, and more.
  19. early modest mouse got me turned onto these guys. i just picked up the new album (you in reverse). 3 minutes into the first track...and excited. any other fans, reviews, et al?
  20. for anyone out there that enjoys Blindside (like I do), check out this band I just found: Funeral for a Friend their pretty good
  21. I think this song sounds great, I just do not know what the song is saying. It goes along perfectly with the show's intro as well. So... anyone able to translate this? http://www.thecomputerninja.info/videos/Japanese_Song.wmv

    Animusic

I saw a promo for Animusic on public TV. If you're not familiar with it, Animusic is animated instruments playing themselves. Each music video has different instruments, which makes each song unique. Animusic isn't advertised on TV, other than PBS I believe, so here is the Animusic website.
  23. here is my band's website which finally has a song up. the song is me with my acoustic guitar, on the spot improvising and making up, and my counter strike microphone. enjoy myspace.com/toxicangersyndrome
  24. I know this has been posted before but I've searched through a few posts and couldn't find it. I'm looking for a site that you can enter a band's name and then the site would show you bands that are similar + samples of their songs. I tried a couple of sites and they were okay but the bands they said were similar to Alice in Chains sucked lol. Thanks for any help.
  25. So i like some classical music. Not that betoven or bach crap but some really good stuff. Like the shinders list soundtrack and yanni live at the necropolis. So does anybody else listen to classical music? if so give me some suggestions. and share your thoughts
