All Kill3r August 1, 2004 Share All Kill3r Member August 1, 2004 a celeron IS a pentium... i'd hate to work wherever it is you work with people fighting over things like this... If you mean is a Celeron better then a Pentium4 non Celeron the answer is no. Pentium 4 non-celerons will own a celeron.
Preacher August 1, 2004 Share Preacher Member August 1, 2004 (edited) front side bus is much lower with the celeron but to tell the truth the whole point is stupid cuz AMD pwns Intel baby Edited August 1, 2004 by Preacher

Crowbar August 1, 2004 Share Crowbar Member August 1, 2004 There are several versions of the Pentium 4, different cores, but the only processor Intel has other than the Celeron and Pentium 4 is the Xeon which is primarily for servers or workstations. As far as I know anyway.

dwEEziL August 2, 2004 Share dwEEziL Member August 2, 2004 They don't call it a "Celery" for nothing. What can make the Celeron look as good (I would say as good but not better) is the L2Cache. Just glancing at it, you see that the L2 Cache transfer rate runs at full speed while the P4 runs at half speed (not sure why, maybe because of heat) but if you look closer you will see that the P4 always has twice as much L2 Cache memory than the Celery. It has been full speed since it went on die back in the P3 days
dwEEziL August 3, 2004 Share dwEEziL Member August 3, 2004 That's not how I remember it, but his is going way back to when I originally got my Celery 433. I meant to put something up there like "at least some time ago it was..."
