TeK August 19, 2004 Share TeK Member August 19, 2004 I'm going to have to say neither. The FX series is one of the worst set of cards NVidia has ever put out plus its PCI. I'll just assume the x300 isn't a good card when the quality of cards out now is pretty good and afordable on a mid/high level card. What are you looking at these for? Laptop? If its for a laptop I'd say get the ATI 9700 Mobility 128meg card. I believe its the best on the market as far as video for laptops.

Preacher August 19, 2004 Share Preacher Member August 19, 2004 I say wait a few months till the next gen PCI cards are available through Dell, or just buy the newest nvidia one from a regular company like newegg
All Kill3r August 19, 2004 Share All Kill3r Member August 19, 2004 i have to refer you to your last thread about the x300 http://www.gamrs.co/forums/in...showtopic=12152 i say keep waiting, nothing available right now would be worth it to upgrade to. the 6600GT should be available soon, its faster then a 9800XT, and at $200 will be a nice upgrade option. dwEEziL August 20, 2004 Share dwEEziL Member August 20, 2004 16 is better but I don't know if it really matters for the first generation PCI-E cards. I know one of the others will chip in here soon with more details. I have been sorely out of the loop on hardware for a while.
Guest zerodamage August 20, 2004 Share Guest zerodamage Guests August 20, 2004 PCI x16 is more like what the AGP is to the PCI slot. You want PCI x16.
